You can always bring your PSP to a local gamecrazy and ask an associate if you can try it before buying it. That's what I always do. From what I've tried, it's kind of laggy, but that's just me. Good luck.

Rumor has it that the new version (UMD legal line ending in "17" instead of "07") are already at retailers. The revised version has less glitches, less hitches, less pauses and a fixed franchise mode that caused everyone headaches when first released.

I'm about to send my launch copy in for a replacement.
If you like football as much as I do (your sig/av tells me you do) I'd go for it, but make sure you are getting the revision. It's Madden on the go--what more could you ask for?

I'd say hell nay. If you need a game of pigskin on the go, pick up NFL Street and suffer through the loadtimes. Otherwise wait till 07 and pray Tiburon doesn't screw up, AGAIN.

?
So the IGN article mentions the fixed franchise mode, but dosen't mention anything about less pauses and hitches?
Any other links, because if they really did fix a good deal of stuff I'd consider it for $27 or so.

Actually, you can get it for $27 this week at Best Buy (on sale for $37 plus $10-off-$29-game coupon). So, if anyone here is interested in this one, now's the time to pull the trigger. Worse comes to worse, you can probably sell it on ebay for $30 if you don't like it.

The only place I saw that users had less pauses/hitches was on gamefaqs -- which I know isn't all that reliable, but it would seem strange that someone would lie about something like that. Either way, there is nothing else online that documents this--heck, only IGN published the recall letter. If I hadn't been checking there I would have never known about the recall in the first place.
