I dunno, that doesn't really scream 'next-gen' to me.

All the shots that show hundreds of guys, they are all exactly the same, that is pretty lame.

ok first off gameplay does not suck, even only with the early demo It was far more challenging than dynasty warriors.

AS for the enemy model not looking very next gen you have to remember there are litterally 200 enemies on screen at any given time. I kid you not, none of those screenshots show how many enemies you see on screen since they're zoomed in to show the detail of the character.


Also not reflected in the detail is the lighting effects like the metal on her wings shine. I'll agree something does look funky with that one screenshot tho since the GUI looks a bit blurry.

As for the HD-DVD thing I don't see the relevance since they haven't claimed to putting any games on HD-DVD. It'll just be a cheap way for people to play HD-DVD. Remember Blu ray and HD-DVD players need far more processing power than DVD players nowadays. By utilizing the processing power of the 360 they can offer a more affordable solution for those already with 360's.

I'll tell you why it will suck. Button-mashers suck, and therefore this game will suck.

I don't think game developers should be touting 'we can put 100,000 enemies onscreen at once' and instead should be saying 'we're trying to make a quality, original game here.'

Actually it is a button masher. I played it at Zero Hour while looking to my left, talking to my friends, and racked a 600+ combo by just mashing the same button over and over. It does have more moves than DW/SW games, but doesn't change the fact that its a button masher. The only time I couldn't button mash was during a pseudo boss fight. I'll try to find the video my friend posted on the net of me button mashing.

The game requires more blocking and strategy than Dynasty warriors. Bad guys actually hit you in this one =p. IN Dynasty warriors all you do is charge through the front lines and kill the general. This one the grunts actually do damage. Either way from what I played it is a great game thusfar.

Try not looking at the screen and button mash on DOA and you will not succeed. That's how I test a button masher. If you can play without looking and succeed it truly is a mindless button masher (for the most part N3).

uh yeah my point exactly, you can win a DOA4 match by button mashing by not looking.........

Also the funny thing here is if you button mash without looking in 99 nights you will get your ass kicked. That is assuming you played it =p

The next generation of video games is here. This should be the age of creativity and depthness to the likes of which we have never seen before. This game lacks both of those. What is the fun in just mashing buttons? Go buy Dynasty Warriors 1-5 if you want to do that. I'm sure most of them are pretty cheap by now.

Now it's all about execution. Is Call of Duty 2 bursting with new ideas? From what I've played, very little is new, but it is done so well, that it's fun to play. Why do you play it? Why don't you just play Halo with me who can't get a 360 for another month?;)
