First off this is the TV I am using.

First thing I did was switch the switch on the cable that goes in the back of the 360 to the HDTV option. Next I plug the component cables into the back of the TV and then powered both the TV and the 360 on. And then I went into the dashboard on the 360 and changed the settings from 480p to 1080i. I did all this and the picture seems a little better but not much better then when I had it hooked up to my Sony with just the standard A/V cable(yellow, red, and white). I am just worried because I read on the XBOX.com forums that there are alot of bad Component HD AV Cables out there(the HDTV to TV switch seems not to work). Is there a way I can tell if my cable is ok before I call Microsoft?
Any input would be a great help since I am new to this HDTV stuff and cant seem to get a handle on it yet.
Thanks,
