New Far Cry game on Xbox 360 & Xbox SPRING 2006??

17:08 Ubisoft has officially confirmed Far Cry (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/news/news_story.php?id=132413#) for Xbox 360 (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/news/news_story.php?id=132413#) and raised a few eyebrows with the announcement that a new title in the franchise is also blasting onto Xbox.


We'll kick off with the new Xbox (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/news/news_story.php?id=132413#) game first (that'll make sense in a minute), which is currently going under the working title of Far Cry Instincts Next Chapter. We've not been fed a whole lot of info but the FPS obviously boasts a new storyline, characters and game features that Ubisoft says "reflect and improve upon the critically acclaimed elements of the first title."

Far Cry on Xbox 360 goes under the fancy name of Far Cry Instincts Predator and it's actually a combination of Far Cry Instincts Next Chapter and the original Far Cry Instincts which appeared on Xbox. I loved the first one, the online portion and map editor were wonderful, I can't wait! The 360 environment looks great, but the player models need work. oh god I can't wait!!!

Far Cry was decent enough and if Gamestop.com's pre-order price of $30 holds up...I'll bite.

I know they did this with Ghost Recon, Ghost Recon 2, Rainbow Six 3, and now FarCry along with a couple others I think.

If the :xbox: version is like an expansion and its going for $30 doesnt it make sense to include both and sell them for $60 on the :360:?
