OMG lame, in the first screenshot, you can only see inside the windows of the office building in the background, and not the streaks on the windows themselves. And they call this next gen? EA sux.

All sarcasm aside, I think all the EA bashers need to give the EA boys credit for being one of the few developers who have so far been able to showcase the 360's graphical prowess correctly (See: Fight Night demo, Madden 360).

I personally think Madden is horrendous, they took a bad game and made it even worse, the camera is awful, and the gameplay is even crappier then the current gen. You can tell EA did a horrible job on the 360 version (just look how ar the ball goes when you kick a field goal) Fight Night and Burnout however are amazing franchises and I love em both.

definately will agree it looks nice, but still NOT next gen to me. Keep in mind us PC gamers are used to these kind of graphics. Gears of War, UT 2007, PGR3, those look next gen, but non the less EA wont make it so Revenge works so looks like i'm stuck with this one. BTW Full Auto definately doesn't suck. Did you review your full version of Full Auto yet scorch? I didn't know you got the full version already and are casting it as 'sucking'

I'm glad I didn't end up buying Burnout Revenge for the Xbox and decided to wait for this version. Those screens look awesome. I definitely can't wait to pick this one up.

I doubt it'll look like that when EA actually releases it. Last May EA put out AMAZING screens of Madden and NBA Live, but when it came down to it, the games looked good but not as amazing as they did in the previews. Theres a 100% chance that that will be the case here.

if true, that would be an apples to oranges comparison. besides each year its a 90% chance that madden will suck. people know going in that there will be minimal improvement over the previous year, yet they flock to the BB and CC to plop $50 on a game that will be $15 within a month or two.

It is certainly not an "apples to oranges comparasion". Why? Because I was talking about the visuals. EA constantly releases early screen shots for games, and then when the game is actually released it looks nowhere as good as when it did when it was in the previews.

And EA publishes the Burnout series. Criterion NEVER published the Burnout games, Acclaim did before EA bought Criterion though.

And there was NEVER a time when Madden was $15 within a month or two of release. Madden is also the best football series IMO, much better than the 2K Series football games ever were.

Also, Madden isn't the only offender of rehashing games. Dynasty Warriors does it all the time and Hideo Kojima also does it. The only thing is, no one complains about those games. Though I know where you're coming from. Gameplaywise, Madden 2005 was nearly the same game as 2003.

Graphics mean nothing when it comes to Burnout. If it doesn't run at 60 FPS, it will be crap.

I was going to say that... of course you beat me to it.

Madden looked like poop (during actual in-play gameplay), but NBA looked good. Not "OMFG" next-gen-ish, though.

madden is junk, it was really rushed to market. hell, you can't even challenge a play. thats lame. the frame rate is rough too. it kinda feels like your playing online sometimes(even though your not). stripped down and put on the shelf. thats what happened.

That doesent mean they wont release screen shots that make the game look better than it actually does. I know they're by seperate develoepers, but EA is EA. Whether they develop a game or not, they always do this.

EA is also not the only team guilty of this... Remember those amazing Halo 2 screen shots that were "actual in game gameplay" from 2002? Yeah. When the game was actually released, it didnt even look close to the preview screen shots.

always? ea does alot of games. it seems that there would be more of an issue if the always did such things.

a lot of content gets left for the editing room floor before final production and release. whatever halo gameplay things you are talking were probably planned to be in there, but they cut it in the end for one reason or another. i think the same applies with movies (out takes). some things just don't make it into the final product. in the end, it's just a video game...no biggie.
