I see people put down Gamestop all the time in the forums, saying how they don't give crap for trade-in's (true) and put too expensive prices on used games (true). But I also see people rave about EBGames. I have personally never shopped there, but I moved homes and theres one close to my new house. But back to the point. Does EBGames give more credit and cheaper prices than Gamestop? I always thought they were the same since the merger. Thanks for the help.

This would be better fielded in Deal Discussion.

For me, I only rave about their website cause you get 25% off and guaranteed complete current gen games. The stores are basically the same. I thought so before the merger, just now their prices and sales align.
Before the merger, EB had great sales and trade-in deals. Now they both have the same so-so sales.

Back in the day, Gamestop offered me $70+ for a bunch of N64 games, while EB offered only 20.
Now I think EB gives the better trade-ins and has better trade-in deals, but don't think it's always been that way.

i am pretty sure gamestop owns all EB games stores so they should have equivalent trade in values.
You can get some crazy deals at stores like gamerush and rhino, they have some crazy ass deals every now and then

EB gives horrible values, when I traded in some games last year during the $5 bonus deal, most games got $0.50 - $0.75 before the bonus with only a few getting over a $1 before the bonus. Like R Racing Evolution and MGS 2 (XBox) got $2 each (so $7 w/ bonus) and then they go and sell it for $12.99 used, which seems cruddy if there was no bonus. At least give a trade in value of 1/3 of what the used price is
