I don't think they are stickers, I think the DS has the images "etched" in the DS. People actually collect the various nintendo variations on the DS. This one is interesting because it's pokemon & doesn't force you to buy an extra game with it. I'll pass in hopes the Black DS will someday hit the US.

Sort of...Wal-Mart is the only national retailer in the US that is selling this particular version of the DS, which was previously only available in Japan or through import shops. From the description, it sounds like it's a special Wal-Mart allocation specifically pegged for the US market (although the DS is basically region-free anyways).

I'm sad I just upgraded my silver DS to a Mario Kart edition last month so I won't be getting one, wish I hadn't I think this one looks great. Why does Nintendo always do this to me?
