Neither of my local CCs had it in stock, and of course the clerks had no idea when or if it would arrive. BB on the other hand had 10+ copies at both locations, and thanks to the glory of price matching I was able to get it for $30. Yay for me. :-)

No, Alter Code F is a re-make of the 1st Wild Arms.

Why would they release 2 different versions of the same game, 2 months apart, from 2 different publishers?

This game rocks my socks....bought it saturday night for $18 (half off with a frequent buyers card at my local CD store), and have put in 20 hours so far....it's very good. If you didn't like the other WA games, which I didn't like that much, then you may like this one as the gameplay is totally different.

Hope it gets better after the first hour Cause the first hour is more like a freaking Reading a comic book... Blah blah blah..... I want fights not an hour of talking.

the Grid thing is a nice new feature... Sadly everyone will rip this off and it will be in almost every RPG from now on

I had no idea there were 2 releases from 2 diff publishers. I thought maybe the OP was referring to Alter Code F as the '4th' game in the series or something.

As you can see, Im not the most knowledgeable Wild Arms fan in the world. =p

Thanks to this thread, I went to BB and had a copy price matched. Thanks for the motivation OP. I am going to give it a whirl tomorrow.

Are the platforming elements very good, or are they boring and tedious?
