Just came back from the local Best Buy in Bridgewater, NJ, and the only title they had for $4.99 was Haven: Call of the King for PS2.

None of the other games mentioned here were anywhere in the store, with the exception of RTK7.

And I -just- bought Gladius for $20 from EB! Argh!

And they were all outta jack.

Annoyingly, I went to the BB in wilmington during lunch and I didn't know about this deal. So while I browsed nothing stood out. Shoulda asked because they were repricing things. Well, Best Buy sucks, for me that is.

They had NOTHING for 5 dollars, nor did they even recognize the deal, I had to TELL THEM about the deal, and they still had Clock Tower 3 for 20 bucks, when I told the guy about the deal, he scanned it, and well, it came up as 5 dollars. That was about the only game there for the deal, I didn't bother. No Wario World, Wario Ware, I-Ninja, Freedom Fighters, or anything.

However, I did go to Gamestop and bought two bad PSX games for a total of about 3.50 spent: WWF Attitude and Jupiter Strike, and went to Game Rush and got Alias, still in the original box, and has the instruction manual in-tact, and the disc is nice and clean, too.

So, I'm happy regardless. Though, I did want Freedom Fighters and I-Ninja for 5 dollars, though... :(

They had it in Wichita Falls, Tx. But nowhere near what everyone said it was. They had about six or seven Xbox games for $5, and one or two PS2 and GCN games.

I managed to pick up The Great Escape for $5. I was actually suprised by how fun this game is. It's a nice change of pace from my normal games, so I'm happy.

Just be sure you get the right system. There seems to be some confusion. Wario World and Wario Ware (GBA) are $5, Wario Ware GC is NOT. Batman Sin Tzu for XBOX is $5, Batman ST for GC is NOT. I've noticed some people are getting confused as to title and system and reporting back that it's not happening at their store. Just double check that it's exactly what's listed.

I just got back from the BB in Carbondale, Illinois and scored big time. I ended up getting the following for the Xbox, all for $5:

I also scored Soul Caliber 2 for $15 through a price match with Circuit City and the Gamer Gift Card coupon. I had absolutly no hassle with any part of transaction. The checkout guy was stunned when I walked up with 9 games until he saw that they were all $5 a piece. I had to walk him through the whole "activate the gift card then use it to pay for my games and the coupon too" but he thought it was a great idea and was going to use this "trick" the next time he buys a game. He said that employees don't get discounts on video games for whatever reason.
I did ask another salesperson if they were going to restock games that were out of stock and how long the sale was going to be. She said that the new $5 price was for good and that they would sell those games until BB no longer carried them. She also said that other games that were $50 they had just dropped to $20 so that they could move a massive amount of inventory. I flashed her a smile and asked her in the smoothest voice that I've got (I think she was scared) what the deal was, why was BB trying to dump all of these games so quick. She said it was E3. BB saw all the new stuff on the horizon and is making room, period. Is she right? Is she wrong? Is she crazy or full of shit? I don't know and I don't care because it ROCKS!
I will say that the stock was pretty well picked over and that they didn't have half the title listed in the master list, Otogi being the one that I want desperatly. So if anybody has Otogi and they want something else give me a hollar at bubbaswtp@yahoo.com and I'll see if I can find what ya need at our BB in Carbondale.

Yes and they ask the price too so if the manager changed it at the location close to your cc then you are screwd. Not to mention that the phone call is just a bs cover so they can say there isn't any in stock just so they don't take a big loss if the price match is too huge. I live in the area but didn't bother with any of the stores. The only place I thought of going was Lancaster because I've found some really rare games at their Meijer before. I'm too lazy to go these days, I guess.

Back when Best Buy clearenced out the Saturn games in 1998 for $9.50 Tuttle had the most games, then Brice, and Easton had the least. I scored about 20 games then. Lancaster and Polaris weren't open in 1998.

My Best Buy had nothing except Wario Ware, which I yoinked the last copy of. Been wanting to pick up this game for a long time now!

The 4.99 is nationwide. Just depends obviosly if any of the games are in stock. I suggest get a price check to make sure cause Kill.Switch wasnt 4.99 when i checked it twice but hey others got it for that price so do it anyway.

Try to picture this awful scenario:
A CAG went to the BB in Los Feliz (SoCal), with a printout of $5 games, and asked the media associates if they had any of the games on the list. The fellow CAG handed the list over and the media associates said they would check. They made a copy of list and began to search the stockroom. They end up finding a lot of the items on that list, but they tell the customer they have none in the back. After the customer leaves they went through a full tote of games, searching for what they wanted. One of the associates left with 13 games, a mixture of (PS2, Xbox, & GBA). How's that for customer service! :x

Woodland Hills, CA, BB is OOS on most everything, and certainly anything of note on the $5 list. It was easy to figure out which games were on the list: just look for the white, empty sign cards.

Problem is that not every best buy participates in the deal or are too lazy to update prices. I went to the one in Muncie, IN and checked out Twisted Metal Black and Beyond Good and Evil(GC) and neither one came up at $4.99

My local Best Buy had next to nothing in stock in the first place, so I was out of luck there. However, I'm considering taking a trip of about 45 minutes to see if I'll have better luck at another BB.
