Is there anything else that I have to do other than plug in the ethernet cable in the back of the console and run it to my router?

That should do it, aside from any network setups on the console itself which I may not be aware of.

Which game are you trying to play? Just curious.

Some games require you to set up a profile for online, too.

None in particular - I've got a bunch that have online elements that I've never tried. Now that I moved my router to the entertainment center in my TV room for my Xbox 360 I thought I'd try the PSTwo online...

It takes aobut 2-5 minutes to run the setup software either from your NA disc or just off of any online game.

I was trying to play Burnout Revenge and the manual says I have to open up inbound TCP ports. Is this true? Why would they make a game require inbound ports? The EA server should handle the traffic so that inbound is not required.

some games require you open ports on your router..i.e. SOCOM 3 needs UDP/TCP ports open... I'll post mine when I get home...
