It's leftover stock from Shadow Hearts Covenant preorders when they gave out SH1. So I guess that's a "cool trick", but there's about a .0000001% chance that midway would let someone print more of one of their titles to give out as a preorder bonus

During the last Buy1Get1 free sale I ordered a Fatal Frame Ps2 and a dvd Set. I received a Fatal Frame 2 disc only, so i called and they said theyd send out a replacement. A few weeks later i called since it was Backordered the whole time, and told the guy to refund my money. Fatal Frame was the item that was charged, dvd was marked as free. So ultimately, I got the dvd for free.


Then i went to Gamestop and returned the FF2 for credit for spite. It rang up as FF1 for 29.99($10 more than FF2 wouldv'e been), but i didn't say anything =]

Well, Shadow Hearts by itself fetches $40 or so on Ebay, so yea, it is a pretty great deal. I'm not sure if this reprinted one would fetch quite so much if anyone decided to sell it.

Yup, same deal here. No SH1. When I called about it they seemed to take care of it real quick (barely on the phone at all). Thought to myself either GS must be really cool (not even a question asked other than order number), or this is very common. Found this thread again and, well... question answered.

As for why they don't send them all out again, perhaps some did get it? Better perhaps that they only give out to the people who call in though.

I'm going to guess perhaps the reason they didn't get shipped, however, is because the product code for the rerelease/bonus and original are different and they put in the wrong code for the preorder?

Also, how long should we wait before trying for a full refund? (including shipping)

I'm assuming your shipping invoice said they were both shipped, so its reasonable to think it might be inside the one game.
As far as getting SH1 for $5, the game goes for $40+ on ebay, so unfortunately(id love one for that much too) it probably won't happen. i don't think many people got even 1 in the first place anyway.

I called again today, the service rep told me that they will not be sending any more of the SH1 preorder bonuses out. I asked if she was sure, she was, so I asked about returning SH3. She said I had two options, one was to send it through the mail or go to a Gamestop store and return it there.

I asked about how that would work with the preorder game listed on the packing list, she told me it would not be a problem. Well, I guess we'll find out, won't we?

So basically you can order it thinking you're going to get the bonus, but they don't have to send you the bonus at all, basically suckering you in and taking your money...

I think it is a terrible business practice and that they should contact everyone who isn't going to get the bonus before they ship out just the regular item and ask "do you still want this without the bonus"? Of course the answer will be "HELL NO" and they'll lose out on all their money, so of course they aren't gonna do that!

This definitely tops my Xbox 360 hunting trip (and I didn't need to drive too) in terms of frustration and headaches.

Hmm. Well, it looks like this whole situation is a huge mess for most people. I'm even more confused, because despite these reports of there being no more copies of SH1, my orders page just changed to "Processing." Just before, it said that it "Usually ships in 24 hours." I'm really confused, but I'll be really damn happy if I see that changed to "Shipped" within the next day or so.

Ok, so I called and they did say they got more in stock and that mine has been shipped. . . but my online order when I go check it on the site hasn't changed at all. Plus before it said the bonus shipped (even though it DIDN'T) so I'm hoping he didn't just read that off the screen. I e-mailed them again for confirmation that I was finally going to get my copy. *crossing her fingers*

Wow, I just put SH1 on eBay last night. Woke up this morning, and someone already chose to buy it now. I had it at $72 shipped since I still see two auctions ending tomorrow for SH1 new/sealed bidding at $60 shipped and $51 shipped.

Think I could have got more?

If i do get this, im thinking about selling it if i can get 65. I just want to play it, and it doesnt seem too hard to find a used copy.

in 24 hours." Then after one of my classes, early evening, I checked again and it said "Processing." Now I checked just 5 minutes ago and it says "Usually ships
