I have a regular 24 in. flat screen TV and for some reason I just noticed that the visuals are kind of blurry. The words on the screen are blurry that it drives me crazy if I stare at it for a while. How do I fix this? What settings on my TV should I fix (picture, brightness, sharpness, color, hue, etc)?
Should I set my PS2 visual setting to 4:3 or full screen?

The cables that came with the PS2
I'm using the slim one if that helps
EDIT: The visuals arent that blurry, the words are more blurry. My Xbox ones are fine.

Is it just the PS2 or is it regular broadcast tv as well?

I don't think it's the PS2, I think my TV settings are making these blurriness. How should I change my settings? Right now I have full picture, half brightness, half color, 3/4 hue, and almost full sharpness. How should I change this so I get the best picture?

Are you using component (red, green, blue) or composite cables (red, yellow, white)? It is my understanding that component or S-Video is much more sharper. And if you are using the cables that came with the ps2, then I'm assuming you're using composite cables. I bet mine is just as blury as your TV (26 inches widescreen LCD TV), and I'm using the composite cables as well. DQVIII looked super blurry.
Well I hope my assumption is right. The best thing you can do is at least get a component cable.

I'm using the yellow, white, and red which I assume is component. If i use the S-Video then I have to plug it through the back of the TV which I don't like doing, I prefer the front port. That kind of sucks then.
Well how should I set my TV settings to have the best TV image?

He shouldn't have problems with those cables since it's only text; it should be clear. S-Video and component deliver a much sharper picture overall but his complain is only with text.
Hm... I have a feeling this isn't anything to with the PS2 or the cables but rather your TV settings. Go to a screen with text and mess around with your TV's settings: contrast and sharpness are probably good places to start and saturation (if it has it) as well. Hue and color should give you any trouble, but I'm not sure about picture. And if you have a standard ratio tv (4:3- the standard, square-ish screen) then you should have your setting to match to standard 4:3 ratio or vice versa if you have 16:9 widescreen.

Do you have a DVD handy with one of those THX Optimizers on it? They include basic video calibration tools.
