Ok I recently bought a gamecube with the cc/tru clearances bought a bunch of games and lovign the gamecube. Now I can get a used old style PS2 with Metal Gear Solid 3 or Kingdom hearts 1 for 109 dollars not really a bad deal, but with the PS3 comeing this year and knowing that even with the rush and possible first supply outages any of us can get a PS3 by atleast march of 2007 should I get ps2 or just wait get ps3 and get the games of interest for ps2 for the ps3 ?
Games of interest would be
God Of War
Driver Parellel Lives (only if it ranks as good as the 1st driver)
Jaws,
Tomb Raider Legend,
KingDom Hearts 2,
Onimusha 3,
burnout 3

There are so many great games for the PS2 it's not even funny. You couldn't possibly play them all by 2007 - I say buy a PS2 now. You are really missing out.

Are these going to be be bc for PS3? If so, then you need to get God of War. I think Jaws looks sweet, too.

Isn't it confirmed that the PS3 will have PS2 guts so nearly 100% of PS2 games will play on it?
Anyway, I'd call that an okay deal, definitely not a slam dunk IMO. If you were looking for a PS2 I'd say go for it. But since you weren't really looking for one, I'd probably pass.

I am in the same situation, buy a PS2 or wait for the PS3. With all of the other games I have to play, I am going to wait for the PS3. I didn't find it too difficult to get a 360 for a good price, I am starting to think I can do the same with the PS3 and avoid all of the PO stuff.
