Yeah Uwe says it's going to be he epic film, his version of Lord of the Rings/Braveheart/Gladiator. God help us all. I just saw an interview on TV with Uwe and the interviewer showed him blogs and petitions pleading for him to stop making films based on videogames. He seemed really pissed that it was brought up like it was the first time he's heard that the internet gaming community hates him. He then didn't understand why people don't like his films. I think in the end the studio will just look at the numbers. It took 15+ million dollars to make Bloodrayne (most of that must have been Ben Kingsley's salary alone) and it's last weekend take was $1.5 million. So maybe the studio execs hope to make that up in DVD sales but I doubt that will happen. It was pretty stupid of Uwe to make a movie based off of a game that most known for its main character being topless in a Playboy spread.
