How does gamestop handle returns?

I bought Gitaroo Man today thinking the game was still rare as hell and either would make an amazing collection peice if I liked it, or if I did that I could sell it for $100. Now id like to get my cash back since I dont pay more then $40 less a game is a really rare RPG. Do they offer cash back or is it just store credit(I hate gamestop so hoping I can get cash).

Most likely store credit...it's really a clerk by clerk, store by store, situation by situation basis. But most likely it will be store credit. According to the policy it should be store credit.

Damn thats what I thought.....maybe ill get lucky though. I really freaking hate gamestop. Their games usually are in worse condition then ebgames and buying with ebgames.com can get ya that 25% off....o well there goes $60. Maybe someone will want to trade hehe.

If you opened it they will only take it as a trade in. Its a good game though. If you don't like it sell it on ebay and take a buck or two loss.

all the gitaroo man games are used, as long as its been one week or less, and you paid with cash or debit, youll get cash back. if you payed with credit card, youll get it on your credit card. if its been more than a week, then it depends on how nice the people at the store want to be, store policy, seven days on used stuff.

should be no problem Althuogh last year I paid with cash once and they refunded me back with store credit. Last wk I did a return on used game and did get cash back paid with credit card. EB games and gamestop merged together but their return policies are not quite the same...
