I was looking at all my GBA carts today, and they were all authentic. One made me wonder, though, and that was my Super Mario Advance cart. While it has the Nintendo info on the chip and all, it did not start up right away on my DS when I put it in (I had to shut it off and turn it back on again a few times to get it to reconize the cart), and while it looks and feels authentic, and the save has been kept on the cart since 2001, theres no number engraved on the sticker. Are all copies like this? Can anyone who also owns an authentic copy of the cart tell me? Thanks.

EDIT: Never mind, read third post.

Haven't started mine up, but mine has a "20" engraved on the sticker. Bought it on GBA launch day.

Oh, never mind. I just looked at the cart in very good light now and it has a 22 imprinted on the seal of quality. Its nearly impossible to see, but hey, its there.

Thanks for helping!

I had that same problem with a used copy of Golden Sun I bought from Gamestop. I was worried that I had gotten a bootleg so I opened it up with the screwdriver that I use on my glasses. I wanted to see if it had a battery save system but it had EEPROM and was a authentic game. I think some games will do this as they get older. Maybe it's just how games on cartridges are made.
