Well Roger Federer won yet another Grand Slam on Saturday, and it is his 3rd consecutive Grand Slam win and counting. And it's also his 7th one and half way from beating pete Sampras's record of 14. But mens professional tennis is being dominated by Roger Federer and I can't see anyone beating him any time soon, which is great for him but it just isn't fun watching just him win all the time. What do you guys think of Federer and his domination of the sport?

But seriously... I've fallen out of love with tennis lately. I think it was the lull in American tennis where Sampras and Agassi have retired and fallen off, respectively, and Roddick and Blake just can't seem to get it together. That coupled with all the other players I actually recognized seeming to fade away (Kuerten, Philipoussis, to name a random couple off the top of my head), and my dislike of Hewitt and Federer, it's just been bad.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of Federer also. The US players needs to take tennis more seriously because Blake, Roddick, and Ginepri cannot beat Federer, and Agassi is getting injured more and more. So I say that the US mens tennis is screwed for a while. Womens is good, mens is bad for us. Someone needs to teach Federer a leason...

But he's been dropping more sets lately. Baghdatis played a wonderful first set, and the beginning of the second. While Federer is still dominating, it seems that he may be losing a bit of steam.

I as well am disappointed it the doimination (as I was when the Williams seemed to win every slam).

Yet I still watch. Personally, I'm extremely happy just to see Blake back on the court. It'd be great if he could step up and get into a final, especially after all of his problems he's has.

yeah thats true too that Federer is losing more and more sets, maybe he'll lose three in a slam one day like last year. I really thought that Blake was going to go to the finals and face Federer though. And he does deserve to win a slam after all he went through, he had that horrible decease in his face and all. But Federer did mess up his ankle and slowed him down, I forgot about that.

I actually disliked Federer when he began his assault on men's tennis but as he has continued to dominate over the past few years I've really enjoyed watching his game and his demeanor and respect for tennis. He is a deserving champion and the thing that surprises me most is that he's won a majority of his tournaments and grand slams without a coach. To me that is the most impressive thing about him. As far as the Americans. I was happy to see Blake come back and play well last year, but they all really need to step up. Andy Roddick just continues to disappoint. I think he needs to drop some of the endorsements and say whatever he needs to Brad Gilbert to get him back as coach. That was the last time that he was able to elevate his game enough consistently to beat other oponents and even pose a challenge to Federer. I still watch it uring major tournaments and especially grand slams, but my interest really hasn't been there because Federer has ended up winning so many tournaments. It will be interesting to see how focused Federer will be for the French Open, because he has never won it and clay is the best surface so many other players.
