Need advice/suggestions for taking a cruise?

My wife and I are getting a decent amount of money back from our tax return this year and she wants to use it on a vacation.

Right now, we are looking into going on a cruise.

Does anyone know where we can get a good deal?

I've never taken a cruise before, so any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

If you are going to go on a cruise, plan it with friends - it will be way more fun. As far as deals go, it depends where you want to go, where you can leave from, etc. Just call a travel agent in your area and see what they can do. Also, travelocity does a good job with vacation planning but I'm not sure if they book cruises...
