This game has been ever since the Gamecube came out, but the price tag's steady at $30. Does anybody know of a deal where I can get it for cheaper?

actually nationwide, it had a drop to 19.82 at all wal-marts. There was a thread about this if I could find it....

I just went to Walmart and found Super Smash Brothers Melee for $30. I'm such a cheapass, I went home looking for deals to save $10, though.

There's also version to worry about if you're keen on certain aspects they changed with each one. You will only find 1.0 at a used game retailer. If you don't care, just buy it new. Several Wal-Marts have marked it down to $20 new.

Well, nothing major. They fixed various glitches and crap, but also introduced a rather profound gameplay bug with 1.1 that bugs me to this day. In 1.1 and on, attacks that cause 1% or less damage have hit lag. Attacks that consist of a series of such hits are always escapable by the opponent if they hold certain directions. To tournament players like me this is horrendous (I use Zelda), but casual players will barely be affected.

Major changes were saved for the PAL version.
