Limited Edition GBA SPs

How many different Limited Edition GBA SPs are there? If you know of one, can you please mention 1) color, 2) whether it was bundled with a game, 3) whether it has any special logos on it (or if it's just a special color), and 4) where it was released? (also note if it was a TRU exclusive etc) Thanks a lot! I always forget all the different ones so I'll keep a list and update it.

platinum SP - no game - no logo - USA

Zelda gold SP - Minish Cap - Triforce and bird logo - EUR

There is a ton of them. I think they have all of them on display at the Nintendo Store and there is like 80 of them. I think the pic was posted in a topic here.

Off the top of my head, I can think of:
- Gold Zelda SP with a triforce on it, comes with Minish Cap
- Lime green with DKC 2 (or 1?) at Target
- 'Who are you?' SP


EDIT: Found the thread, it was when Cheapy and Wombat went to a Miyamoto signing at Nin. Store...maybe there was less than 80...:)

I remember seeing the zelda sp but they were selling it for around $300 I think. It was pretty sweet, but I couldn't justify paying that much for it.

Zelda SP was available from amazon.co.uk back when I was buying mine. I posted a thread on here about it... way back. Actually, I think I posted on the nintendo boards, that was before I found CAG.

There was a Kingdom Hearts SP in Japan, much like the FFT one (in packaging, not in appearance). I think it was silver, with "Kingdom Hearts" written in an awful tribal-looking script on the cover.

It's a little different. It has Sora on the bottom near the start/select buttons.

i saw the zelda sp when i was in germany. i would have bought it but i saw it 2 days before i flew back home. i was more than broke and simply couldnt justify the 100 euro purchase (150 US). ah well.

Ha I took pictures of the SP when I was in NY as well. In a way it was pretty cool for me.. in a way I felt weird taking pictures... just like at the TRU there too =[. I bet there's a site that list out all the SP anyways.. but DocRamon gives a pretty damn good list. But I'd like visuals for all of them ;].

as for pictures... wow. that would be a task. i tried looking for really good pictures of a few of the harder to find ones (at least the ones i think are harder to find) and came up with nothing, so... good luck to anyone who tries that one.

Yeah, I saw several for sale on a website I'd never heard of before (wasn't lik-sang or playasia or one of the bigger ones). They were for like $250 and stuff though. Now I can't remember the site.

God... I would love to have one those Zelda GBA SPs, the unsigned one. The signed one would be nice but seeing as how there's only 25 of them, that's not going to happen anytime soon.

dude, some of those gba look pretty sweet. i got rid of all of my game systems but i might have try to buy one of those things off of yahoo japan auctions or ebay.

edit waitaminute, these are all front lit? i dont get it, i thought the sp were all backlit?

only the last series of SPs were backlit, the graphite, pearl blue, and spongebob ones, that era

The pearl white one was a circuit city exclusive in the usa and it had metroid zero mission I think bundled with it.

there was also a surf blue one but I am unsure about where it was from

Don't forget about the red gundam one in japan and the boktai one which was flame red/black.

There was a couple Japanese Megaman(Rockman) GBA SP one it came with a game one color was red and the other blue each came with the game that matched the color or something like that.

I finally found the name of it it's called RockMan EXE 4 Tournament Red Sun Limited edition that's the red one and the other one is Blue Moon edition.
