Someone was nosy using Google Earth..

Here's a question for you: what have the Nazi wartime test facility at Peenemunde and the Australian city of Perth got in common? Well, the first thing (and just about the only thing, truth be told) which springs to mind is that they are both next to large bodies of water. This is useful if you're going to test things which might go bang. Like V-2 rockets and - wait for it - flying cars:

According to our Oz photo interpretation bureau (Clinton Bird), the vehicle in question is at an altitude of three of four metres and doing about 80 knots. Which rules out a rocket-powered project, and we can see no evidence of the Wankel-powered turbofan outrigger engines favoured by the Moller Corporation:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/01/23/flying_car_two.jpg

Which leaves just one possible explantion: the Aussies have developed a gravity-busting hyperdrive, have bolted it into a second-hand Holden, and are seen here in the split second before their X-Motor made the transdimensional leap to hyper light speed.

What do you guys think? Black car next to a white one? A sign? A flying car shadow? I'd lean towards the "black car parked next to a white one".. except with every other car, you can see the windshield and other outlines of a car.. this one, you can't. Looks more like a shadow.

It's not as far fetched as it sounds. There's already flying vehicles (http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/2004-03-30-skycar_x.htm) out there.

There's more information here: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/01/25/flying_car_launch_site/ .. pictures from the ground to show that it's not a sign or anything like that.

More interesting pictures from Google Earth here: http://googlesightseeing.com/

It looks like a stand or concessions of some kind. Maybe a billboard. Or swamp gas. Move along.

I say a black car with tinted windows or a small store.
If they had a flying car I don't think they would hide it.

Maybe a picknick table? It looks kind of park like.

If you people would read the whole post, one of the links contains pictures from the ground to show that there's no permanent structure of any sort there.

The shadow is probably a BMW, now that Google is waging war on the german automaker, they not only have removed the company from their search, but from the very GoogleEarth as well!

why would anyone test a flying car in such an area next to a parking lot full of cars lol in public.

If they actualy made a flying car there they would milk it and be so proud to do something they would put it on there flag. 'home of the flying car'.

Why flying cars? Assholes can't drive grounded, just imagine how it's going to be in the air.
