Zelda/Metroid in a single case (official)?

I haven't been around the Gamecube that long, but I thought this was interesting. Does anyone know why these were made and where they were sold?

As for the GCN combo, I've never seen it before. The ideal combo would be MP/MP2 wouldn't it? Besides, I couldn't see Nintendo bundeling two of thier games since it's those exclusives that drives people to the Cube.

If its Photoshopped, its good. Note the E--T ESRB sticker, and how the text fits into slim columns on the back cover.

I thought it was a Photoshop job as well, but if it is, it's a good one. The slight overlap of the game titles is a nice touch.

I don't know about the case for sure, but there was a Gamecube bundle with Zelda and Metroid Prime for $99 at Best Buy last year sometime before the Smash Bros. bundle came out. The package itself looked like the plain old Gamecube box except for a smallish sticker promoting the two pack-in games.

Yeah well it's a bit of a stretch to label a Best Buy exclusive bundle incentive as a "Rare Game." Show it to someone 10 years from now and even a "collector" isn't going to care.

I bought one of these at Gamestop used for $16. Pretty cool cover, and then 2 separate game disks inside. Definately legit, and I have not seen another. So, if they are hard to find and there arent very many, doesnt that make them RARE. Not valuable, just RARE.
