I bet the game will be done before the november 9 th release date but they just want to get the highest amount of sales. They obviously have enough to make a demo now but they don't need a demo people will buy the game without it.

They said they trying to perfect multiplayer...they said single player is pretty much done and they want to integrate all the new XBL features seamlessly into the game and have the best experience

Bungie says that this is the offical date. none of the other dates have been called that by bungie, only microsoft.
