Some of these shots remind me of Mario vs. Donkey Kong, which makes me feel physically ill.

What was so bad about Mario vs. Donkey Kong? I liked it a lot (though not as much as Mario 3 or Mario World).

This is easily the DS game I'm looking most forward too. The runner's up would be Metroid Prime Hunters (depending on its single-player), and the announced, but unseen next Castlevania.

What's sad is that I played this at e3 last year and I'll probobly play it again at this years e3 before it gets released.
I got to play one level in multiplayer. Its a race Mario vs Luigi and its crazy. You can get certain powerups and if you're falling behind there's a powerup that teleports the person in first back to where you are, it made things really fun and challenging. Really awesome game.

This may well be the final straw that convinces me to get a DS. The game looks goregous.
For some reason that bottom right screen reminds me of giant world in SMB3, but reversed.

It sounds like they took a page from Sonic 2 Multiplayer, and that is a good thing.

OOOOOoooOooo if it pans out as good as it looks now, I see myself buying it upon release. The DS has sure gone through a transformation, to me at least... started out looking PATHETIC and another Virtual Boy... and now? Damn.

This was one of the games I was really looking forward to since buying a DS. When I saw the screens for this game, it practically sold the DS by itself without the need for such great games as Mario Kart, etc. Anyhoo, any and all new word on this game is great. I just can't fucking wait. I loved playing as youngin' Super Mario Lands on GB and SNES. Anybody know a tentative release date off hand?
I hope this is great, but don't expect it will be.

The screens look great! I wasn't a fan of Mario 64 or Sunshine, so I've been waiting a looooong time for some new, for real Mario awesomeness. :bouncy:

Yeah, I know. It's very much like Nintendo to leave a genre's headline property for about 10+ years and when then finally bring it back it's complete garbage. Especially since they don't care about this game at all and have rushed it through development to get it on to store shelves.

It kind of has the Donkey Kong Country rendered look, don't you think? I like the bold colors, much more attractive than Super Princess Peach's pastel scheme.

I bought a DS at launch thinking this game would come out soon. I then traded my launch DS for an electric blue waiting for this game. I will probably trade it for a DS lite before this game comes out, but it will be worth it. This is really the only DS game that I must have.
