is it worth still getting, or did they also close the gcn pso servers along with the dc servers. Also, arent there free servers, if so, what software do I need on my pc(warp pipe, etc)?

As far as i know the pso servers are still online for the cube. I dont know about free servers though. There is a free server for DC. IIRC the servers are all run out of japan, so keep that in mind if your gonna contact anyone about support or anything.

Don't forget, you can still play PSO online with your Dreamcast. There are private servers set up. You need a Codebreaker. See http://schtserv.funurl.com/ for more info.
you can either use DNS or action replay method to play for free.
