My TV remote died recently, so I bought a 3-in-1 universal remote at RadioShack. I tried to adjust the color, brightness, tint, etc., but I couldn't find the options in the menu. I returned the remote because it "wouldn't work", and was forced to either exchange it or get a gift card. I then opted for the 6-in-1 universal remote with voice setup. Again, no brightness, tint, color, etc. when I pressed the menu button. I've since come to the conclusion that the problem is with the menu on my television.
So, are there any universal remotes that have designated brightness and color buttons, or are the options always found in the "menu?" I just searched for awhile and couldn't find anything.

what brand tv do you have?
Many brands share functionality across devices, so you could hit ebay for a replacement that should handle your needs.
how about walk up to the tv and adjust it?
Or for some reason do you adjust it every commercial break?

Some TVs don't even have access to the menu (or many other controls) on the physical set at all.
I bought an 8-in-1 remote from Radio Shack (an LCD screen one that was on clearance) and it worked fine with my Sony.
You may want to check out this site for getting a universal remote.

How is the menu different from the stock remote?

The TV doesn't have those controls on it. It only has volume, channel, power, and input.
I was watching Sin City and the white looked kind of yellow. I adjusted the settings, and it died soon after (it's pretty old). Now everything on cable looks too bright and red.
But nice of you to jump to conclusions, dipshit. I'm not lazy or neurotic, as you seem to think I am.

Thanks, but I've already spent a lot of time on that site and couldn't find anything useful.

The menu button only brings up time settings and parental controls for some strange reason.
