if you haven't bought the other XBOX light gun game "House of the Dead 3", wait till 2/18/04 because it is being re-released at a new low price of $19.99. Not sure if it's going to be a platinum hit, but it will be only $20 new, online and instores and perhaps $15ggc@BB. Smart move by Sega milking the release of XB Silent Scope.

I have the game and I enjoy the hell out of it. I just wish there were more light-gun games for the Xbox.

Do you still have the receipt/invoice?

You could try purchasing the game for $19 then use it to return to EB. But that's provided that it's not in a Platinum case.

Completely off-topic, but we need a sequel to Typing of the Dead. That game kicked some major ass, and was educational to boot. A Typing of the Dead 2 using HotD3 as its basis would be very sweet...

in Best by just go to the video game section, you will see the gamer gift card there, it is kind of like a reguar gift card. The diffenrence is this one has a code for $5 off any game.

I still have the invoice, but it says like 1 penny on it. I my Ninja Gaiden on it. Also, according to their site, you can't return things to the store that is bought from their site.

Anyone know how much those lightguns are? Last time I checked they were too expensive (but I don't really remember what it was, > $20. Or is there gonna be a better gun coming out with Silent Scope Complete??

How exactly does it work? am I supposed to buy a gamer gift card and then use it to buy the game and then they will take $5 off the price or something?

the xbox mad catz light gun is still $30-$35, so the pelican light rifle is a steal at $39 after rebate, click my link above for links to rebate, etc.

Gothic_Walrus, typing of the dead is a pretty cool learning tool. for anyone else who's interested, EB has the Dreamcast console on sale for $10 next week and I've seen the typing game/gun for under $15 total (i may have to re-play that game). I think I saw DC Confidential Mission for around $4.99 and HoTD2 for $3 at EB & GS.

STill kinda worry XBOX going dead in 2005 & XBOX 2 don't have the backward compatability with orginal XBOX games :(

masterkyo, I highly doubt this will happen. it doesn't benefit MS/XB in anyway. They have 750,000 subscribers to XBL service that they will not leave behind. Plus, XB is not #1 in sales and they would not do anything that would make their sales suffer. XBOX2 may integrate nextgen tech but will surely allow our currentgen games to be played. if I am wrong then hopefully XB console will sell for current Dreamcast console prices ($10) and I will buy every single one I can find.

;)

But seriously, XB2 is planned for 2005, PS3 for 2006. MS purposefully moved up the date to beat PS3 by a year. I'm not sure if this is the smartest move by MS because they will give PS3 too much time to implement the best features of XB2 into PS3 and possibly outshine XB2 altogether. But I believe that XB2 will debut a year early and MS will save some great features/accessories to launch the same week/month as PS3 that Sony had not expected. Plus MS is working on XBMobile/XB2Go (gba/psp competitor) right now and perhaps they will debut that in 2005/2006. It is supposed to attach to XB2 to share data etc. Plus XB1 is planning a SUBSTANTIAL price drop this year (instead of releasing a compact XBox) to force PS2 to follow the price drop. So maybe we'll see a shakeout this summer. either way, we the gamers win.

Maybe Sony will finally make the PS3 w/ 4 controller ports. That would truly be nextgen for Sony. Good grief even the N64 & Dreamcast have 4-ports.

I'd like to see MS release one of the limited XBOXs in the US. Search the web and you'll see some truly cool looking XBs released in EU,Japan, etc. But I'd rather see more great exclusive game/accessory bundles like Steel Battalion and Silent Scope Complete Rifle/Game. I know Sony has the Onimusha Katana and FFX-2 twin guns but the two XBOX exclusives I mentioned are truly immersive experiences.

nuff said.
