Problem with PS2 Headset

Hello there, I'm new to this site. I recently bought the PS2 slimline console and I tried to play SOCOM II with the headset that came with the game. The game works alright but the headset does not. Does the headset that came with game work on the slimline PS2 or not. I tried the headset with other games as well but there's nothing happening at all. Am I doing something wrong or would it be broke. Also what is the best headset for the PS2 slimline. Help please. Thanks.:)

Did you try the other USB port . I have a Logitech GT wheel and it likes to be in port 1 .
Whichever one that is . I think it is the top one , or the one on the left depending on the way the PS2 is standing/sitting .
