So I was going through the threads in "Request A Videogame Deal" and stumble upon a thread asking for a cheap N64 (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1708085#post1708085 ). I post I have one and ask the OP to CML. A few days have gone by and I check it today to find the following from Titans24:

I have one from the $15 ebgames deal and its just sitting in my closet in the ebgames box. I haven't tested or played it, so I'm not sure if it works, but you want it, you can have it for free.

I've been thinking about getting rid of it for awhile, since I have lost interest in collecting the older games. Just let me know and I can ship it out from work on Monday. I'll ship it out UPS ground, since I can use that service for free.

Also, it does not have the expansion pak.

I know there are many CAGs out there with similar stories and thought I'd begin a thread to honor these acts of kindness. If you have a story or have seen similar instances share them with us. This is not intended for boasting it is a place to display what an Ultimate CAG brings to the table. One last thing, stories of members putting up games and Schwag for contests, Admiral Ackbar, are just as important. Thanks for your time and I look forward to the updates.

joevan sent me an Xbox Controller dongle for free when I got one from another trade that was missing that bit. I've tried sending him something a few times to return the favor, but so far he's given me the slip each time.

 I'm slippery like that

shrike's helped me out several times - always items that end up getting passed on to my sister :-s (DS/GBA games and an Xbox live headset)

and I'll have to check my feedback but every now and then a CAG will hook me up at cost+shipping (Scarface comes to mind right away) when theres a serious sale going on.

I don't do good things.

But really, there's too many people that've hooked me up with stuff: S0undwav3 hooked me up with a sealed MM Zero on the cheap, TheReno got me a cheap copy of SFA 3 MAX, and countless other people have hooked me up with stuff that I wouldn't have had an opportunity to have otherwise.

I'm trying to kollect all the Mortal Kombat: Deception limited edition cards, and Shrike sent me the Baraka card, the only one I would've had a problem getting. I'm only missing Scorpion and Raiden now..

I asked a cag'er what he wanted for 2 guides once and he said 5 bucks each. They were worth 35 and 25 on ebay. He's a regular too. Though I never did figure out if he knew they were valuable and was being nice, or if he had no idea.

I think what Danimal is doing is worthy of praise:

I try to alert other CAG members to local deals and whatnot that are usually highly under the radar even though I'd be competing with them for the same items, but that's not really much.

The best I do when I go out, though, is that if a store is in the midst of some major sale I'll try and help the younger kids who are walking around with their own hard-earned money looking for a game or two to get with their dollar bills. It's not much but if I can help a few kids get one or two amazing games that they would enjoy for sickeningly low prices during the Christmas TRU dump and elsewhere...well, it makes a difference.

It's funny, I think I've sold around 30, 40 different games to people while just randomly browsing in stores and yet I can't get any semblance of a part-time or full-time job at EB or GameStop. Damned grad school eating away all of my money...

I teamed up with another CAG (DKellar) to find PS1 RPGs. He's been extremely helpful (he found and shipped Suikoden II, Valkyrie Profile, etc. for cost + shipping). I truly think that's a great deed and I thank him for his efforts.

This truly is a good deed by Danimal. I can relate and understand the importance of this cause because my father passed this summer to cancer. Thanks chakan for bringing this up, not only is it a great deed, but one that should be posted anywhere and everywhere on CAG.

I don't remember the details exactly but I do have a story.

I once bought a cheap copy of Cold Fear as trade fodder and listed it on my TGN TL. I decided that nobody would want it and returned it a few days later. And wouldn't you know it, a few days after I returned it someone sent me a offer for a good condition copy of Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance... for the PS2. So, not wanting to let the offer pass I accept and decide I'd just go back and get it. It wasn't there. So I post in a thread for other CAGers helping one another out and chickenhawk comes to the rescue saying he can pick up a copy but the only thing on my TL he wanted was a shiny, brand new copy of DMC3, he says he'd trade Cold Fear and something else from his TL for my DMC3. I check his list and the only game I want is a brand new copy of SO3, the boxed version. He asks why I need both games, I tell him the story of the trade. And he, miraculously agreed, asking nothing extra of me. And he (even with higher feedback) agreed to ship at the same time, the very next day. I get the games a few days later and make my trade...

That's my story about the nicest CAGer.:)

I know I'm going to sound like a newb, but what is SO3? I probably know even though I've never seen or heard the term before.

forgot who it was (one of the few trade feedbacks i have should point 'em out). but we did an even game for game trade. he sent me a PM after he had sent the game out saying he threw in a free silent hill 2 non GH because it was on my want list. i was stoked (even though you can find it for pretty cheap).

After seeing a post by camelking that he had picked up a bunch of genesis games on the cheap at a yardsale, I asked if he would sell me me Rocket Knight Adventures and he offered it up and shipped it to me for free. Good guy that camelking.

A year and a half ago KrazyKefka posted a message about finding a few Zelda Collector's Edition guides pennied out at TRU . . . I missed the drop (really pissed me off and I even tried dumpster diving to find one). He was going to sell me one and then we lost contact. We reconnected a few weeks later and he sent me the guide for free!

I hope that karma has repaid him.

Well, here is a few things I have done as Good Deeds within the last year here and locally.

First, I gave my original Xbox to my friend as a christmas gift because he had to sell his to help pay some medical bills for his Grandmother.

The biggest thing I have done Good Deed wise here is I took all of the store credit I had at Gamerush when the Blue DS first came out in the US and bought 2 brand new Nintendo DS (1 Original, 1 Blue) for other CAGs who were looking for one for trade.

Karma later last year paid me back because I donated toward the Child's Play Fund during Christmas time and entered in the raffle a few of the other CAGs had and was one of the first people to be chosen so I was able to get three PS2 games and Final Fantasy VII for PSOne. So this Good Deed belongs to Wobacca, jlarlee, and cletus. Thanks again fellow CAGs.

I've added a few promo goodies with my trade. Every once in awhile, I'll add unworn promo gaming shirts to the deal as a bonus.

Thought I'd revive this thread with a current good dee done unto me. I recently made a trade with craven_fiend, my Sleeping Beauty 2-Disc DVD for Silent Hill 2 & Oddworld Stranger's Wrath. Well the trade went smooth and I got my package two days later. When I opened the box I noticed 3 game cases, upon pulling them out I notice a Oddworld Bonus DVD that came with the original Pre-order. This bonus was never discussed in the trade talks, craven_fiend just decided to include it in the package.:bouncy:

About the nicest thing which happened to me on CAG was when I won the "Win CheapyD's Games" contest just before he moved to Japan. Other than that, I can't think of anything.
