This post refers to the following ebay item:

Ok, so today i received this email from my buyer:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I did not receive any memory cards with this game. The description stated game was complete and the details listed 3 memory cards. Please let me know what happened.

Thanks, Sandra

The listing quite obviously (well to me anyway) was for a complete copy of PTO 4 for ps2, with no mention of memory cards at all. So I was starting to think that this person was on crack or something until i noticed this in the pre-filled item info:

I have been doing this for years and I've never seen that info before, but it is in almost every current gen game listing. Now, I know what that means. Uses 1 memory card and 3 blocks of save data. However this could be very confusing to people who aren't as familiar with their memory cards. I for one am going to start putting a disclaimer in my listings to correct this and some of you more serious sellers might want to do the same.

Man, that sucks that ebay would do that. I even had to look twice to see that it indeed said 3 memory cards. Did you reply to the buyer?

Did you send an email to ebay explaining why they should remove that information? I'm sure if enough people complain, they will have to change it.

She misread the listing, ebay means that it uses a PS1 memory card and it takes up 3 memory blocks to save, not that it comes with a memory card.

So going by your logic, does the game include a player, a gamepad and a joystick?

You guys ride the short bus to school?

Those pre filled boxes don't state what's included with the auction, only details about the item you're selling. The buyer misunderstood that information.

Anyways, what if the seller started asking for "1 player" and a "gamepad, joystick."

I have noticed that before but never thought that someone could think that it means the game comes with a memory card. Hopefully they will understand what it means once you explain it to them

Yeah, they're being very cool about it, she understands it wasn't my doing...but who knows if the next one will.

I understand that, but ebay newbs not familiar with the listing format might not. That's all I'm saying.

I have emailed ebay, but it's unlikely this will be fixed anytime soon since the problem is with ebay's source, not ebay themselves.
