Shit, if it looked good on a Gamecube, im sure they could do it a hell of a lot better on 360. BTW nice sig Docvinh, lol.

I think they should at least port it over to the Xbox.
Porting it shouldn't take to long only reason it took so long to port RE4 to the PS2 was cause they had to downgraded it so much, I think they could have RE4 ported over to at least the Xbox in 4 months, Plus we won't bee seeing Resident Evil 5 till 2007/2008.

As much as I would love to play through RE4 on the 360 in HD, I have to say RE5. With any luck, it will shadow RE4 with it's greatness!

I'd probably play through it again if they did put it on 360. I never played the PS2 version, so I'd have to check out the changes, and I don't think I'd be able to reisist getting an "Unlocked all Bottlecaps" achievement. :)

No. I don't need to feel nastalgic about a game I played a year ago. I don't want to see three versions of one great game. I want them to take everything that made RE4 badass, multiply it by 360, and put it into Resident Evil 5.

I'm not saying they would port RE4 instead of making RE5 but it couldn't be that tough to redo the graphics and add in some achievements to hold us over until 2007 or 2008 whenever RE5 actually comes out.

As long as it doesnt interfere with RE5 I'm all for it.

I would like to see Resident Evil 2 remade for the 360 with the same game mechanics as RE4. I know it would take a while, but I think it would be cool (as long as it doesn't interfere with RE5 ,of course).

People always say that...
You know, the clausterphobic hallways of the old RE's will never work with RE4's game mechanics... neither will the amount of zombies you fight, the puzzles, or anything. It will not happen.

no, stop rehashing old games, make new ones...if you didn't get an opportunity to play it that is too bad. You had a 2 chances to play it...

isn't re4 just a rehash of re0-3...or something like that?
i thought that what making video games was all about nowadays :-k

RE4 is quite different from 0 through 3. Thats why people didnt go around giving 0 through 3 all of the Game of the Year awards that they could find.
Also, if you want to play it on the 360 so bad, you can play it with the 360 PC controller when they come out with it for the PC.

To those that haven't, there really is no reason not to. A brand new GameCube is $100, and Resident Evil 4 is $20. That's two mediocre Xbox 360 game ports.

I played it captain. People seem to be so uptight when old games are remade, yet developers always do it, and people usually buy them.

If Capcom put our RE4 on 360, I would buy it, especially if they updated the graphics if only a little. I wouldn't be surprised if they did. If Capcom is good at one thing its rehashing and repackaging shit a hundred times on every console (except for some strange reason, the awesome Powerstone franchise. WTF Capcom?!).

Why waste $100 in cash on a GC, when you can put it towards the "REV" and play RE through backward capability, and get a new system too?
I have the first three on PC, and I played Veronica's Code on DC. They were good in their time.
How many different RE's games came out on the PS2 & GC?
RE Zero, Veronica's Code, Dead Aim, Out Break, & RE4. Am I missing any?

Uuuuhhhhh... why not release it for the XBox? Its more than powerful enough to handle RE4. Kinda stupid to release it for the PS2, GC and then the 360 but skip over the original XBox doncha think?

Better idea: Resident Evil 0,1,2,3,4 and CVX on one disc on the 360.

Porting to the PS2 makes sense with install base. Also PS2 owners made a big fuss, which I reckon didnt happened with the xbox crowd. Also the PS2 version came out the month before the 360 came out.
The team that originally made the game refused to port it to the PS2 and they had to bring in other people to do it. Nobody involved was probably a big xbox fan.

It's a matter of preference. If you wanted to play RE4 now, the quickest and cheapest way would be to get a GameCube and a copy of the game. If you don't mind waiting for the 'Revolution' to come out, then preorder it and play the waiting game instead.

I say less than a $100 to play RE4...GameRush
Used Gamecube! $69.99
used RE4 $16.99
a Used 3rd party Memory card $5.00
But heck... an XBOX port of this game makes more sense than a 360 port...
Leave 360 for RE5 unless RE4 is goin to be remade to take advantage of the 360 Hardware...

RE4 is done, isn't it? They're already bringing it to PC (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1674689), so that has the hi-definition angle covered, I would think...
I just don't see why we need to do such a major upgrade on a game that's only 1 year old. I mean, you know that most 360 owners would not be pleased if the game had the same graphics as it does on GCN and PS2, just running at a higher resolution. So, they really would probably be forced to upgrade most of the visuals...and this is worth it how? Like I said, it's only a year old!

If anything they could just port it over to XBox with enhancements and make it B/C...

Why buy a sysyem for one game? That is such a waste. That's like buying a new car because you like the radio that comes factory. Listen to it a few times, and never use the car again.
Since Ubisoft is taking the time to port RE 4 and others to PC, it would make more sense financially for them to port it the Xbox, making it b/c for the 360, and broadening their audience.
Why they won't or why haven't they already is the real question. Not saling to a large portion of your potential market really makes no sense economically. You can make alot more by saling to all systems, which that should be every developers main goal IMO, incomparison to being paid to stay exclusive.
