The 360 ate my DOA4!

So I play DOA4 for hours and hours on end. I pull it out to put in a movie.. and part of the center piece is coming off!!!!

Also, is the center more "melted", or more sharply "chipped"?

If it's sharply chipped, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the spool in the game case that did it.

What throws me off is that it's just the upper layer chipped, the bottom part is fine. So it wasn't something the case/spool did, if that was the case, it would've cracked through both sides.

Here's another picture. It was taken from my cell phone so I don't know if you can see it good enough, but you should be able to tell that it's just the top layer chipped.. the bottom layer is still intact. I ran it through a filter in photoshop to highlight the edges a bit, I hope it's easier to see.

I'm not sure. I've messaged Tecmo.. usually game companies will replace yours if you send them the defective copy. If they decline, I'll go to MS. If MS declines, i'll e-mail the president of the company I got it from (a small-ish company, they actually respond), if not, i'll probably sell it on here for ultra cheap and hope someone can make use of it.

I wouldn't risk using it. A part might come off the disk and break everything.

nice! I wish I had still had a 360, just for doa4 online. I got up to an A and was getting really into it before I had to sell my setup for college money.

Damn Scorch and we just had some DOA4 going and u were like 3-2 against me this time around. I've never seen this issue with the 360 before, maybe it was the case?

Edit: I was thinking maybe you could exchange your copy at a local Wal-Mart, tell them u dont have a receipt, do the even exchange and pay the $4ish in sales tax if all comes to worst.

It's not like the FBI is going to come knocking at your door.
Either way Tecmo is going to wish for you to exchange it at where the place you bought it. So wherever you bought it you need to take it back.

It will most likely be a pain to get a refund from Tecmo or MS, especially with recent situations. They will just claim negliegence.

I still had the receipt and I showed the manager what happened, and even though I bought it in December, he swapped it out for a new copy, saying that all games have a lifetime warranty on them if you get them at Rhino, so long as it's not something that you did. Rhino is the best store ever, hands down.
