Hmm, the charging station sounds nice, but I don't know about that camera..

Doesn't the Play and Charge Kit do the same thing? I mean I guess this way you would never ever have to worry about wires but it's not that great of an accessory. Bah, if they release it soon I'll probably pick it up. Not sure about the camera though - what would you use it for?

Well, for one thing, you can charge a battery without having the 360 on. They should've released this a long time ago.

Point it at one of my Shipwreck figures, so people could see who they were playing with/talking to on Live?

You can already charge with the 360 in sleep mode and it turns itself completely off when the controller is at full charge. I don't really need this new charger thing, but I'm sure some people will use it.

just charge the thing while watching a movie or something, you don't have to be playing it. The charge station should have been available at launch, now it just seems like too much. Depending on the price it may not be logical for the consumer.

A little more info:

Xbox Live Camera for Xbox 360, which supports built-in video chat and video messaging on Xbox Live and features up to VGA 640x480 video at 30 frames per second and takes 1.3-megapixel still photos. The camera includes a microphone that connects to the controller, so everyone in the room can chat online with their friends.

The other accesory is the Xbox 360 Quick Charge kit, an all-in-one solution for you to keep your wireless controllers fully charged. The kit includes the Quick Charger for two batteries, Play and Charge cable and the rechargable battery pack.

Do you work for the teamxbox site Linkin, or is that the only XBox site on the net that you know?

Nope dont work for any sites. I just have time to visit them at work. I usually check gamespot.com, ign.com, and teamxbox.com Why? I dont understand why you are so bothered by me posting on these boards, you complain almost about everything I put up. Whats up?

Because TeamXBox is the only site you copy and paste from. Just wondering.

You can charge when it is off, simply plug in the cable and the controller before you turn the 360 off. That's the trick. The system goes into a sleep mode to charge. You can still hear the fans. After it is fully charged, the system will turn off completely. Try it :).

On a side note, I did leave the controller plugged in to the 360 after I got done playing to let it recharge last night. However, I actually have the 360 in my bedroom and I was trying to sleep. Since the fans on the 360 continue to run while it charges the controller, it is kind of hard to sleep since it sounds like a hovercraft is idling near my pillow.

Uh....those 2 things were pictured in the Official Launch Guide that OWX put out....not exactly big news.

Skip the charge kit, Energizer and Rayovac have been offering that for awhile now. :)

Seriously, though I figure most of you have your charging solutions solved already but for anyone that hasn't just pick up the ones from the battery companies. They don't require the 360 in any way, probably last longer, and work with other devices.

I hardly use the voice chat option as it is. I don't need video chat.

The camera looks slightly different though, I think.

Oh, it does. The previous one was wider and not as tall.

I welcome the quick charge station, I'm not willing to pay like $45 for it, but considering a fully charged battery pack from play & charge takes 5-6 hours, the quick charger will supposedly get it done in 1-2 I'll toss in like $15-20 for it.

Nice on the charging station. $25 after deals would work out great for me.
