Maxconsole has the world's first scoop on the new Xbox 360 transfer kit and complimentary software called Xchange 360 from the makers of Action Replay.

The Xbox 360 transfer kit will allow you to transfer game saves, downloads, user data, gamer pics and the like. Thanks to the Xchange 360 application, the Xbox 360 transfer kit is very easy to use. Just plug in your memory card into the docking port and connect it to any USB enabled PC.

uhh no. They're tied to gamertags. it's not like everything will be transferrable. The first XBox had games where you couldn't touch shit, all Microsoft has to do is issue an update that locks everything, they could squash this whole transfer files thing in about 30 seconds if they wanted to

Umm... so there's really not much difference between this and just the standard memory card from that description. You'll be able to transfer the stuff to your PC, but like Scorch said, Microsoft will be able to detect modified save files and the like. This in no way gives you any means to cheat the marketplace.

Its not like people aren't going to figure out how to "pick apart" profiles and be able to added and remove saves from it at will.

Unless they figure out how to hack into Live's server and change the info there, they can't change any of the marketplace stuff or Gamerscore stats. If you just want a complete save file for a game, sure this will help, but it's not going to give you the achievements or allow you to play marketplace games or items that you haven't paid for.

They never could with XBox, why could they with the 360?

//edit: And the $14.99 is just for the docking station, so I guess you'll have to buy the memory card.

I've seen people with games in their profiles that they got 1000 of 1000 points and then where it usually says 'Last played:', it just said "User has never played online" or something. I don't think it is entirely on the server side.

Well, you can get the achievements offline but they are uploaded to your Gamertag when you connect you 360 to Live. You can't get the achievements simply by downloading a completed save file though. The achievements are linked to your profile (and your profile is linked to your GamerTag if you go on Live). So by screwing around with your profile, you are effectively screwing around with your GamerTag, which will ultimately lead to a ban on Live.

I would love to somehow isolate my FFXI info and get that off my 360 and put it on my PC for safe keeping. There are so many macros I have made and with such large amounts of things being done I would hate to do them all again.

How about playing imports somehow with this, maybe it can fool the system into thinking it has a diff. region code? Do you think that will be possible?

I need one of these to get Hexic back. :) I figure since I officially had it once it would work alright. Though I doubt I'd wanna invest in it just for that and hopefully they'll put that on the marketplace soon.

Yeah I wish there was something to transfer directly, but using this with something to get Xbox saves to the computer might work. So at least we have a somewhat uncomplicated way to get Xbox saves to the 360 I think.

Anyone see this in a store yet? I would LOVE this for NCAA games (there is already a roster update on the Internet with all the REAL player....nice). I LOVE it when NCAA football comes along...makes the game so much better for me with real names....not sure why, but it does.

Thanks...I saw that. I was hoping a store would have it...oh well. Shipping is close to $8 for more. I may pick up two and recoop the cost on EBAY. They seem to sell for $25 on there....shhhh, don't tell anyone else ;)

If you accidentally delete something you paid for just go back and DL it again. You won't be charged because it's already "remembered" that you paid for it. You'll see a green check mark next to the item you can DL.

I saw these at a B&M Best Buy. The package was just like the one pictured at Lik-Sang. I don't see it on the Best Buy website, though.

I've seen it at two Best Buys and I got one, It just lets you save your game saves to you pc and when you need them you can restore them back to your xbox360, It doen't even work like the one for the xbox so you can't get other game saves unless a friend emails you a copy or comes over to your house and gets your saves off your PC.

Can't you just zip the file and pass them along on the Internet? Isn't that sorta what the Action Replay was?

I may still get it just for Roster Updates....

reading this topics brings up a question from me, if someone has this and the Burnout bonus stuff does this mean you could you possibly email them? I'm having a very hard time finding the Burnout stuff and buying this kit with a mem card and just getting the stuff emailed would be great.

What happens when you use your friends save or one you find on the internet with achievements unlocked do you get the achievements when you boot up the save? If that is true that pretty much makes the achievements goals for games pretty pointless.

I ended up picking up this kit, a mem card and Burnout with some of the bonus stuff from Best Buy a little while ago. I'm going to start transfering all my saves and stuff to my laptop in the morning.

I'll have to go back to BB in the morning since I don't think the bonus car downloaded to my mem card though.

i bought this kit and loaded some RR6 save onto the memory card with xplorer360 and it worked

and it doesn't affect your achievements! (thank god)

also, i grabbed a 1.99 game along with the kit and was given 10% off on the kit

So, anyone use this yet? I saw Best Buy had it when I went, but I passed for now. I'll get this when NCAA 07 football comes out, but they may come out with something different by then..so who knows. Just wondering if it's worth it...

Ill also be getting it for NCAA 07, maybe should order now, before the other NCAA 07 players buy it for rosters

also, hows that xplorer360 interface, do you just drag a folder into your mem card or what?

Ok, I picked one up this week....I was curious how it works? Do people use the software included or is Xplorer360 better? I think the latter allows to copy select files, right?

I used the included software for when I downloaded NCAA Hoops 2k6 from FKrosters.com. Plus from what I hear 360Xplorer is tough to use.

I used the Xplorer360 software after reading a bit on 360gamesaves.com

Seems to work pretty easy....you can drag and drop.

Anyone know where you can get the FREE Burnout themes and cars (Best Buy, CC and others?)

Are you sure about that....it seems you can extract files from the ZIP and use individual saves with Xplorer360 on the transfer kit.

Nevermind, it appears that is the only way....as I looked at FK's site. Oh wel....looks like I'll have to install the software.

*EDIT AGAIN*
I had to uninstall my Xplorer360 drivers and Install the Datel to get it to work. The software is BRUTAL though. I hate how you cannot take one save and add it, that really sucks. And now, I cannot use both softwares....so that sucks too.

huh? i dont really care who has them first, if fk has em when i get the game, ill use his, otherwise, ill use DTs, i dont really care, as long as i dont have to drop cash for it

are you sure you cant use xplorer360 with the datel drivers? because it says on 360gamesaves that the xplorer360 beta 5 has "Datel Driver support! Xbox 1 and Xbox 360 memory cards that use Datel's xbreader.sys / usbio.sys drivers should now work fine."

Great another useless accessory to buy that MS could have implimented Via LAN. But I guess they're afraid of hackers.... Oh wait you can already reflash the firmware on the DVD-ROM drive to play burned games. Oh well MS loses anyway =p.

I got a quick question:

I was just wondering if this accessory will allow me to transfer original Xbox 1 saves to the Xbox 360 so that I don't have to beat all my old BC games again. But in order to do that, I'll need to pick up a memory unit for the original Xbox right?
