I was wondering if anybody else got this, but my order from Gamestop for MGS3:S Limited Edition is in "processing". Anybody else get this?

Also, it seems like it really was limited edition, because now you can't preorder it from either GameStop or EBGames anymore...

The pre-order DVD should be shipping out shortly/next week, and the game still ships on March 14th.

The reason I called them is because they auth'd my credit card for the pre-order item being shipped, even though it's a freebie. The auth will fall off shortly, and then it'll get charged on the 14th for the purchase price of the game.

I just noticed on my online order it doesn't say "limited edition", there was no option between selecting a LE and regular edition... I emailed EB and asked them if I was getting the LE and if I wasn't, to upgrade it if possible.

actually, i think you should consider getting the regular edition as well. the regular edition includes all the gameplay elements of the limited edition... the limited edition just comes with an extra DVD that has a Hideo Kojima edited movie of MGS3, MGS3 bloopers (most of which are available on the MGS3 website) and the MGS4 trailer that im sure all of you have seen already (with the old-ass solid snake), so you aren't missing out on any gameplay features. that's all there is to it for the extra $10 (the regular edition will sell for $29.99, the LE for $39.99). i think LE is for really for those hardcore MGS3 fans (you can count me in as one :) )

I'm kind of a collector I guess so I like to have the best release possible, especially since I already have the original release.

I just called them a couple hours ago to confirm which edition it was and it did turn out to be the regular edition, the CS rep told me they weren't taking orders for the LE any longer so I cancelled it.

I then called various EB and GS B&Ms in my area, of the 4 stores I called only one said that he could preorder me the LE... he was like "hmm... I thought I might have saw an e-mail that said to stop taking preorders on this but hey; it's still in the computer man, come up here and preorder it, bring trade-ins..."

So I'll probably be heading up there before they close.

I went to GameStop B&M today and preordered, the employee said the DVDs came in today and he gave it 2 me after I preordered... I already watched it, its pretty good but short, if you haven't played MGS 3 yet, I recommend skipping the 1st chapter of the DVD cause it will spoil it for you,

The GS wouldn't preorder me the LE though... he said I'd probably be able to get one though if someone cancelled or if they got extra.

It certainly looks like the Subsistance LE will be truely limited. I haven't seen a release this limited since Shenmue LE on the Dreamcast.

Normally, if you pick something else then the saver shipping. If you pick the shipping that comes fedex or ups. It normally gets to you on the day of release.

The 14th is the shipping date. Some Gamestops *might* get it in, but usually it arrives on the day after.

Called and spoke with a CSR and he said that some of the orders are shipping from a different warehouse and the system isn't quite synched up to when the order is processed in the warehouse to what is displayed on the site. Actually, I was referring to how the people who preordered in early February had their game put on backorder while people who ordered in late February had their game ship... that I can blame on Gamestop. But yeah, Konami definitely meant limited here...

If you don't mind telling, what state are you in? Someone in one of these threads suggested that this product is shipping from multiple warehouses, and some are apparenly shipping before others. (This might explain why some people received their Saga discs early)

I know before the GS/EB merger I would get GS orders from Texas and EB orders from Kentucky. I don't know if GS kept the Kentucky warehouse open, but it is concevable to me that the TX one received the LE product before KY did.

Actually, yeah, it's like that. And I absolutely love that concept -- finally we get what the Japanese get as preorder bonuses. I remember the Skies of Arcadia and MGS 1 LE sets that came out over there and the ridiculous amount of awesomeness that came with them.

Here, the best we usually do is a pin or a small, cheaply made piece of crap that you get as a preorder bonus.

Miy order says that also. I don't know what to make of it, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I got burned by Gamestop twice so far in almost as many days. No Shadow Hearts, shipping MGS3 LE to later preorders and screwing us who got in on it early, nothing can redeem them in my eyes.
