APC sells them for $29.99 - I think MC was originally $19.99.
They're not getting anymore, so the price was lowered to move through what's left.

I dun get it, what makes this an "Xbox surge protector"?? Is it just a gimmick thing? I mean it seems like any ordinary surge protector slapped with a black green color scheme and "Xbox" on it. I already have the regular APC surge protector (JUST like this one except white without the "Xbox" on it), any point of getting this just for the cool factor?

If you can score one for $16 or less, then there's no reason to get it.
It's a lifetime warrantied APC surge supressor with half-way decent specs, for $10 + shipping. Yes, it's in black & green for "effect", though so be it.

I don't have one of those, but I picked up one of these (http://$$$$$$$$$$$$/mbk38). They're pretty nice. It's pretty much the same thing as what the OP posted, but with storage for games. It can store games with cases or just the disks. It also has a tray for memory cards. I'm pretty happy with it.

It's a decent surge for $10, plus yes, there is the cool factor.

While it IS a surge protector of a sort, its far from the same level of protection. Yours is a mere 420 Joules of protection vs. 1,060 Joules for the OPs item. Thats far too low for my comfort level. So much so Id plug that bugger into ANOTHER surge protector. (420J is pretty pointless "protection) Plus, its $27 after shipping. I will say though it looks great. Just a darn shame its not very protective at all.
My cheapass fav. is the Belkin F9M923-08GRY-DL at Buy.com for $15. (use cheapy's link on the front page then put the # in the search) Buy 2 and get free shipping. 2655J is no slouch (although Ill be the first to admit Belkin fudges their numbers but even at 1/2 that its still solid) and plenty of outlets. My only complaint is the cord doesnt rotate like on my APCs. (yeah, Im spoiled) Anyway, I dig on the Dell/Belkins at Buy.com but feel free to look around at options. Heres a helpful guide on what to look for.

I'm picking up the Xbox one though, just to get a couple of things off the other surge and move them to another outlet, and yeah, it's cheesy, but it does look cool...and you can never have too many block spaced outlets!
