I don't know if anyone is interested in a limited edition ps2 (especially since it is 50 bucks more than a regular one) but they had a $50 price drop and are now only 199.99. I guess it is to reflect the recent price drop in regular ps2 hardware.

So you pay $50 for a shinny cover and controller. No network adaptor or ATV offroad. You'd have to be a hardcore collector to really want this deal.

wow, those ps2's look nice. i just looked at them a few nights ago and they were $249.99! limited edition eh? they've been on their website ever since the launch of the ps2!
oh well, if i had the money, i'd probably get one :lol:
That white one is niiiice.
Someone posted pics of their home brewed white version which I think was yesterday. I checked the sony site and if it was yesterday, they were $249 then. They must of just dropped in price. Tempting, but not unless my ps2 breaks.

It was released back in the winter time of 2002 before the Christmas holiday, not around launch time. For sure it is not the ones with progressive scan (newer models out now). It is quite a drop from around $330 when it was released.

Karmapolice - The PS2 will develop DRE's wheter you stand it up or not, I had mine since launch vertical and didnt get them untill its 3rd year of use. Also you can send it to sony to be repaired for free but you have to cll them first and talk to a cutomer service rep. to get the repair code.
And personally I'd rather pay 10 bucks for these (http://www.gameconsoleskins.com/categories.asp?cid=2) rather than buy a new PS2 since mine works.
