Well maybe not you, but I will!

I work 3rd shift (10pm-6:30am) and there will be down times when I'm working. I just recently found out that I will be allowed to play my gameboy on the floor with the sound off. Sweeeet!

Anyone want to make a suggestion on games that would be good to pick up and play? I will need to pause on a moments notice. Literally. If a call comes in, I'm live in an instant with a customer.

i play gb at work as well and those are some of the games i play.

lunar is really nice bacuse its turn based so you can set the game down for an hour and no enemy will attack

Look at my sad gameboy collection... But in my defense, I've only had a GBA for about 5 months. I have SMB 3 (mario advance 4) coming in the mail. And Golden Sun 2, for when I finally finish the first.

I am really suprised to see so many people are able to game at work. I haven't actually done it yet, but I'm excited to try it!

This is why we are losing world market share to the Germans people! Too many GBAs at work = no productivity. Seriously though, StealthySeal I used to work at a McD in NY and man there was never a free moment. Not too mention all the greasiness that McDonald's entails. I could never put my GB in that environment :)

see if you were part of one of those teams that plays in gaming tournaments for money, your job would actually be to play games... now quit your jobs and start a team damnit.

since this threads all about Gameboy and stuff, i'm gonna try and squeeze this question in real quick.. Gamestop has used GBA's that look like they're in good condition for $49.99.. i dont have a GBA or SP, and i want a GBA... should i buy one of the used $49.99 ones or should i get a new $69.99 one?

not tryin to steal the thread..

Lunar Legend most def. Also, Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town if you're interested in those types of games.

Oh the joys of working third shift. I'm still at work as we speak (Computer Ops at a bank) and just got done playing some Pokemon Ruby. I would recommend that and Advanced Wars 2 since you really wouldn't have to pause the games due to the turn based battles. If a call comes in, you won't have to worry about the game until you're ready to jump back in.

Get the Mega Man Battle Network games if you're into RPGs...
I used to play them on my breaks and the fact that you can save just by pressing start and going to the save option, makes it a great "work" game...
It definitely helps being you said you'd need to pause or stop many times...

If you're picking up a GBA rather than a GBA SP don't forget about the battery issue. Those will really cost you over time. Don't hesitate to get a rechargable battery attachment. I use one from Intec that is built into a set of handles that give the GBA a form factor close a PSX controller. Otherwise the GBA is too small for my hands and I get cramps.

Another route to consider is the PSone and LCD screen package, especially if you expect to have a power outlet available at your desk. (Yes, you can get batteries for this setup but they add a fair amount of weight and bulk while only lasting about four hours at best. Probably not enough to get you through a slow shift.!)

The PSone and screen combo (only $80 at Sears if they still have 'em) is very reasonable for taking along to a fixed location like a desk job and gives you accesss to a huge library that goes well beyond what a GBa can do.

Golden Sun 1 & 2
