I'm a long way from NYC and was curious:
1) Do they sell video games
2) If answer to #1 is yes, do they sell only Nintendo published games or can you get 3rd party games as well (sonic advance, gunstar hero's, etc.)
Thanks

does your second yes mean "yes they only carry nintendo-published games" or "yes they carry games like sonic advance gunstar super heroes"?

i am like 90% sure they carry other games, I remember the shelves were stacked and there is no way they could all be 1st party

not for a kentuckian, its cool and there is some neat memorabilia and some interesting stuff for sale but i wouldnt go that far for it. I was in NY so I dragged my ass there, but other than that I could live without it

Plus, I'd have to put some underwear on under my overalls and put on some shoes. Not worth it.

I doubt it's worth going to NYC for explicitly, but that's not to say that NYC isn't worth going to anyway!

I work one block away from the store.
yes they sell games
yes they sell 3rd party games for all their current systems
NYC is a great place to visit, but dont come here just for the Nintendo store, its not that great.
Its 2 stories, the bottom floor is mostly Polemon stuff, with a round table with about 8 chairs around it and there is a DS network hooked up to all that, so people can all sit around and pictochat or something... lol
Upstairs are the games, and kiosks with gamecubes hooked up. There are standing kiosks with 42" plasmas, and the best thing is they have 3 of those egg chairs with speakers in them hooked to gamecubes and giant front projection displays.
There are some museum displays too, with different versions of the GBA, and a burnt up original gameboy that was in the first gulf war. It still works! And there is a prototypw version of the original NES with a keyboard and tape drive.
They have lots of t-shirts and backpacks and strat guides and accessories and that type of stuff. The best thing they sell is right at the counter. They have those japanese capsule toys, and inside each one is a random nintendo system model. Like you might get a little famicom, or superfamicom, or famicom disk system inside. I forget how much they are tho... Maybe I'll go back and check it out today, I was thinking of picking one of them up.
So yeah, the store is kinda cool, but I couldnt see spending more than 20-30 minutes in there, so dont come to NY just for that. =)

Where do you work?
I'm about 2 blocks away, was there today, they sell most 1st and 3rd party games (no HD cables for cube though). It's worth a peak in if you're at Rockafeller Center anyway. I wouldn't go that out of my way to get there, unless your lifelong dream was to see the original GB that made it through the Gulf War.

Does the Nintendo store still have the demo download? I might head over tomorrow during lunch to get it on my DS.

Yeah they've got it. I didn't care for Tetris much, but I have to grab Brain Training still.

I went around 1pm today and tried out tetris, trozei and brain games. I played like 2 minutes of tetris before I realized it was the same game as before, so I tried brain games. Pretty cool "game" in that it has a lot of different features. Then I downloaded trozei and kept it on my DS since I didn't get a chance to play too much of it.
