Trauma Center Revolution
Developer: Atlus
Status: Exclusive
Source: Nintendo Power, IGN contacts

Anybody who owns a Nintendo DS will undoubtedly be very familiar with the Trauma Center franchise. The Atlus-developed series took full advantage of Nintendo's touch-screen handheld with a unique new idea that utilized the stylus. Players were challenged to become a doctor and operate on patients, performing such tasks as sewing organs up, removing artifacts from bodies, sanitizing wounds and more. Gamers could even take part in some tense open heart surgery. Of course, maneuvers were inputted with the stylus, which worked in conjunction with the touch screen. On Revolution, players will utilize the console's free-hand style controller for pixel-perfect accuracy on the operating table.

Nintendo Power hinted that a Revolution version of Trauma Center could be in development in a recent issue and IGN has confirmed that such a title is moving steadily forward. If all goes well, aspiring doctors everywhere may be able to get their hands dirty at E3 2006.

Sweet! I loved the first one; a Revolution one can only be better (I hope).

I was actually thinking about what a great Revolution title this would be the other day. Can't wait as Trauma Center is my favorite DS game, hands down.

Very nice. I've been playing Trauma Center for a while now, and the Rev controller sounds like it should work nicely.

looking at the whole "Every Revolution Game We Know About" Article from IGN, it seems that the overwhelming majority of games are Exclusive (naturally).

I find this very amusing. Games that are crafted well around the controller become something completely different on a standard controller. In theory we're going to have an unprecendented level of exclusivity.

Trauma Center for the PS3/360? Ha!

I want Marble Madness Rev and Uniracers Rev.

Everything's cool as long as the difficulty curve is just a touch less steep.

I don't think NP said anything about the Revolution, but I guess I can reread the blurb tonight. I believe all it said was that Atlus mentioned they were working on a sequel to one of their popular DS games, which I believe limits it to either Snowboad Kids (ha), Puyo Pop Fever, and Trauma Center.

I haven't played Trauma Center yet, but either way, a sequel for either system would be good.

Lower the difficulty, get rid of "body goblins," make it real operations, and I'll be sold.

They need to revamp the operations, and increase the ULTIMATE KUSURAGI SAMURAI NAUTOKEN KAWAII CHAMPALOO anime theme twenty-fold. I'm talking expressions with ^_^ and ()-_^ and giant robots busting through the operating room walls and tentacle bukkake raping the nurses.

Oh, and add a sweet pre-op segment where you can like, tie the patient's gown and shave their balls and what not. I'd buy 6 copies.

The game would be freakin' sweet if there were a co-ops mod. Imagine the chaos that would ensue...
