Well, you won’t have to wait for E3 for stuff, that much I can guarantee. GDC should be decent. And you’ll learn about and even see games prior to E3.

You mean like when he kept hinting months in advance about "big things from TGS 2005," at which the Revolution controller was revealed?

I'm not a big fan of IGN as a site, but Matt seems to genuinely want to let fans know everything he can (I think he sympathizes with us because of the lack of information from the Big N).

who really cares if they show games or other items on march 20 .... its not going to effect the release date of the system....

now if they said this would push out the system 2 months sooner then i would be happy :)


ALSO in EGM i think this month they are now hinting the system could be 250

what happen to the 99-199 range

i been hearing it will be out around thanksgiving so take that rumor with this rumor and push it up 2 months ( mid aug )


hell a July 4 release would rock : )


personally though even if everything was done right now we wouldnt see this system out till around thanksgiving. with no chance of the PS3 coming out this year nintendo will have all the holidays to themself this year....


all i know is the PS 3 better rock and have tons of very very good games when it hits cause They will be going against the XBOX 360 being out 2 years it would have a massive game line up and very good games by then ( that is if the PS3 is pushed back to FALL 07 Like many sites are now saying

The ONLY official bit of info is that it will cost less than a Core xbox 360.

Hell, if they have the new Mario as a pack-in at $250, its sounds perfectly fine to me.

If all the games sucked would you still be wishing they gave a release date rather than showing games? Do you like walking into a purchase blind?

I'd much rather see some games than get a release date at GDC.

The best thing about this is that the GDC is held in San Jose, CA. They sell student passes at the GDC, should I go?

I volunteered at a couple GDCs, and it was a nice way to get in for free. Otherwise, it's probably only worth paying to go if you are studying towards game development. A lot of the volunteers were students also.
