so i finally picked this up and am very pleased with it so far.
im only about 6 hours or so in but i really cant figure out why this game doesnt hold a more favorable status. its lotr so thats good but its different enough to feel fresh. i can imagine the lack of enemy veriation to be annoying later in the game but i really cant find fault other than that.

I loved it, and I never really understood why it was so blasted in the media. I mean it's not exactly original, it's short, and the story more or less blows, but hell, I enjoyed it more that X-2. The graphics and sound were amazing and I'll take all the FFX clones anyone wants to produce, as long as they are as good as this. I bought it the day of release, and never regretted that $50, unlike Xenosaga II...

I agree, I really liked this game! I would have kept playing had I not accidently deleted my save really far into the game.
I really liked the fact you could see your new equipment.
I wish more J-RPG style games did this...

Thats a feature I have always wanted since FF2(US) I hate the fact that you get all this cool armor and never get to see you people wear it.

To be honest, I haven't played this since I bought it last year, but that's one of the few games I've actually bought because I know I enjoyed it (when I rented it) as opposed to thinking it sounded cool and it was cheap. I think I played it all weekend when I rented it (those were the days) and loved it. So I'm with all of the above.

i think hes talking about when you get equipment, in the menu it lists all new equipment from one menu so you dont have to look through everything.
but yea i really like that all your items are worn visibly.
im at 12 hours and enjoyment is at a steady level.
fun game.
