Let me start by saying this: About a few weeks ago I was trying to find a good long online video game radio show. After many hours of searching, asking, and "googling" I didn't find what I was looking for. I got real frustrated that there was nothing out there that fit my needs. After not being happy that I wasted my time looking for a good online show, I realized if I couldn't find what I was looking for I'd have to make it myself. So I did.

The name is weird, but I like it: Ankle Bread for Bits and Hexes

Each of my shows have a different theme to them since I like mixing things up and being more creative than just the same types of music every time. Also, every show is around an hour long, so don't think I didn't put work into these (most of them take me half a day to make).

Here are the shows so far for download:

Show #1 - Energy (http://www.archive.org/download/RelentlessRolentoAnkleBreadforBitsandHexesShow1/AnkleBreadforBitsandHexesShow1.mp3)
The theme for this show is basicly all types and forms of energetic video game music. A good assortment is in there you will probably recognize as well as others that you wont. Plus, there is a mini shoutout to cheapassgamer.com here.

Show #2 - Moody (http://www.archive.org/download/RelentlessRolentoAnkleBreadforBitsandHexesShow2Moo dy_0/AnkleBreadforBitsandHexesShow2.mp3)
This time it's all about the melodical and moody songs. I personally like this show alot. Theres some good new stuff on there many will recognize.

Show #3 - Electronic (http://www.archive.org/download/RelentlessRolentoAnkleBreadforBitsandHexesShow3Ele ctronic/AnkleBreadforBitsandHexesShow3.mp3)
My latest show to hit the web. Basicly it is electronic types of music that come from gaming. It may not fit people's style, but again, I am going across the full spectrum of music types with each of my shows.

If you have a program or webpage that takes RSS feeds, you can link to my show using the following url:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/relentlessrolento

As a side note, if you are wondering why I have a robot voice for a DJ, it's because I currently don't own any working micraphones... >_<
The voice is horrible for Show #1, but improves quite a bit for Shows #2 and #3.

I hope you enjoy it, and any feedback would be great.

I haven't listened to your shows, but I always loved the idea of podcasts. To be frank, though, I don't like the idea of a video game music podcast, or even a music in general podcast, because if I wanted prerecorded music, I'd download the songs themselves and not a show where I'd have to sift thru some bad tracks to get to the good ones.

I may be wrong here, but anyone who cares about game music would know what songs they're looking for and just download them individually.

There's also www.gamingfm.com, which is not a podcast, but it constantly streams music and creates the illusion that it is a radio station. I may be in the minority here, but I prefer this over a music podcast any day of the week.

Still, I think it's a cool idea, and there can never be enough people to enjoy game music. Keep fighting the good fight.

You can actually stream my show via the RSS feed, so it still fits your taste pretty much.

I understand people can just download the stuff, but think this as more of a compalation. Kinda like when you buy a compalation CD you get different tastes and a good variation of music styles. It's also here to promote music people might have never heard, so they would have never of downloaded it otherwise since they didn't know they liked it.

I just think it's a matter of personal taste, but think what you want.

I forgot to mention in the first post, but through every show I never play more than one song from a game. Each song is from a different title guaranteed, thus the reason for veriety and the long hours I put into this.

Oh, and GamingFM was one of the stations I cared less for... sure it sounds like radio, but I hate radio personally

lol, I always get those damn names mixed up... oh well. Glad you guys like the show.

Sorry for the long downloads, but when you have a long ass show, the file is larger than usual.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm good. I still don't know what the next show will be, but I'm considering "Happy" music next time as a possability... who knows...

How would one define "happy" type music? Like Kirby-esque stuff?

I demand jazz, lotsa jazz. But that's probably just me.

I'm listening to it right now, I'm digging it so far.

May I ask what program you use to compile all these songs into a show? I just find it kind of surprising to be able to fit an hour worth of music into only a 54 MB file.

A free audio editing program known as Audacity... you need a plugin to do mp3s, but it only takes a minute to find online and it's completely free.

Glad to hear you enjoy it :)
