Here's the entertainment software listings from the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (HOU), Chicago (IL), Los Angeles/Orange County (LA), San Jose/Silicon Valley (SJ), and Washington state (WA) Fry's Ad(s). These prices are valid only for the dates listed in the subject line.

The items listed below are as they appear in the Fry's Ads. If an item is listed as "SJ only", for example, it could still be on sale at other locations (i.e. - Austin, Sacramento, San Diego, AZ, GA, IN, NV, OR), but it only appeared in the SJ ad. However, since these ads are not available online, I cannot confirm them.

If anyone knows of a website to view any further ads, please let me know.

Unless otherwise indicated, items below are listed in all six (DFW, HOU, IL, LA, SJ, and WA) ads.

Diiz, reason for no Metroid Hunters or Tetris sales is that those two games don't come out until next week. I'd expect to see at least one, if not both, on sale at Fry's next week.

I'll be picking up MGS3: Subsistence and Megaman Powered Up in the morning...

Oh, and MMPU isn't THAT great of a deal. It's MSRP $29.99, so only a $5 savings. Still nice, but remember it wasn't a $39.99 release to begin with.

Aren't the games usually on sale on Launch day, and they should be in stores on the 21st? Ive picked up Mario Kart and Sonic Rush at launch at Frys on sale, just surprised that Tetris and Metroid wouldn't be listed this week...

Here is my gift to the CAG community for years of great deals.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v286/Arkay/oblivionad.jpg

I want you to all try to PM the collector's edition to the regular price. With black and white and where they put that bubble (and this is not doctored at all....all I did was desaturate and paste on the enlarged version) you can argue that the ad is for BOTH versions since the only difference between the boxes is color (fixed by desaturation) and "collector's edition" text, which is where they put their info bubble.

Good luck! I can't manage to try this until the 22nd, but I figure even if by sharing this I'm killing my own shot to get the CE at this price, at least some of you might be successful..

Thanks CAG!

Not sure about Tetris but Metroid Prime Hunters is 34.99. I asked the guy in the dept. Also this is in the Dallas area. Tetris is probably full price too. I suggest you use the Best Buy Gamer gift card like I did to get it to 29.99 like I did.

Yeah, I'm not sure what they mean by "Low Price Guarantee" when they're charging full retail. I checked with my Fry's and they said $34.99 for MP:H (forgot to ask about about Tetris), but they didn't have either there yet.

Hopefully tomorrow's ad will have Tetris DS on sale

Well, Fry's let me down early in the week.

Tetris DS and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion(360 version) for FULL price? Oh come on! I hope the Wednesday or the Friday ad makes up for this...

Heh, silly question...

Anyone from a state... very far away from Fry's try using one of their ads to pricematch? I live in PA, wondering if I could take a printout and go to Wal-Mart and see what happens.

I got a CC to pricematch a KB Toys receipt from New Jersey before, so I'm wondering if it might be worth the effort.

I don't have a fry's anywhere near me, but a friend has mailed me the ads before and WM/BB have price matched no questions ask. They just think its some weird smaller chain in the area.

Hmm... I might give it a go.

But will Wal-Mart accept a printout of an ad? (Best Buy is like 30 miles away, I'm not gonna drive over there tonight. blargh!)

I've been reading in other forums that Oblivion for X360 is same price as PC.

I agree with is being awesome. Controlls are perfect and single player is great so far. Most intuitive console/Handheld FPS i've ever played. And to note I use the Left handed controlls.

WOO HOO!

Just came back from the Sunnyvale Fry's with Oblivion for the Xbox 360.

I was fully ready to pay the full $60 for it, then cashier rung it up and said

"$44.99"

I thought it was weird that it didn't appear in the ad and there was no sale price tag in front of it. Literally, the only way you could have known it was on sale was if you were to purchased it at full price.

I know for sure that the Sunnyvale Fry's has them all non-LE Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (XBox360) copies for $44.99. YMMV, BUT GO CHECK OUT YOUR LOCAL FRYS NOW!

I went to the Woodland Hills Fry's and Oblivion 360 was $49.99. So I'm guessing all LA locations should be the same. In case they drop their price, you can get refunds from them for the difference for up to 30 days. This will probably appear in tomorrow's ad anyway.

Fry's better have MP:H and Tetris DS at reduced prices come the following ads, or this is going to be the greatest let down I have ever had from them and anger me. Now where's my angry eyes.

PMed the Oblivion CE at Best Buy today and it worked fine. What I did is instead of using the image you whipped up Arkay, I took the full ad page pdf and printed it as black and white. Took it up to a cashier, no questions asked.

Awesome game so far, I'm about 2 hours in. Lovin it.

360 oblivion is 45 at Compusa...GO GO GO!!! :D

Unfortunately, most CompUSAs seem to get around 2 or so copies of the game, making the ad useless.

What's up with all of these different prices for Oblivion? Did you ring it up at the Anaheim store?

Oh, I should have mentioned the 360 Oblivion I picked up was labelled as $59.99 but rang at the register as $49.99. So make sure you check with a sales person before you believe the price on the box.
