I like sideways and I don't know why. I don't drink wine, yet I like that movie. If someone could tell me why I would appreciate it. Nothing for me in this deal though.

It was a pretty good movie, I hate wine as well yet still enjoyed it.

The wine allegory in Sideways is still lost on me after numerous times watching it.
Not enough here for me to want to spend $30. And when the hell will someone have a sub-$20 price on the 2-disc Kinsey?!

The movie isn't really about wine -- it's about the relationships between people who are flawed but still appealing. It's hard not to identify with aspects of each of the characters, even as you're wishing they made better decisions.
When they do talk about wine, they do it in a way that transcends the subject matter. They're not just throwing out incomprehensible wine jargon -- they're communicating their passion for something, and not so much the specifics of what, but why. They could just as easily be talking about motorcycles or videogames. Wine is essentially scenery -- great and meaningful if you're familiar with it, but still pretty even if you're not.
One of the themes and ironies of Sideways is that you can be eloquent, passionate, and extremely well-informed about one thing (wine) and find someone else who shares that interest and still be completely hopeless with them. I can relate.
Wine dweeb. Computer nerd. Videogame junkie. Anime otaku.
I contain multitudes of geeks.

Speaking of Sideways, the audio commentary alone is worth $10. Incredibly entertaining.
I may do Ong Bak, Robots, and i guess the transporter to round it out
