Those are new prices, right? I think he wanted used. Most of the used prices I've seen, though, are too high for the high defective rate of PS2s. Who knows what you might be getting via eBay or something.

To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't bother with a used PS2, unless if it was a relatively new slim one. At least when you have a DRE with those, you can very easily clean the lense, which usually fixes the problem.
