I'm planning on upgrading my measly 512 mb of RAM. I'm going to put two 1 gb sticks in. What I'm looking at is a pair of Corsair Value Select RAM for ~$160.
Now about foreign RAM, my dad has a business trip to Singapore in a few weeks. If he looked over there and was able find the same size RAM for cheaper, would they work in my Dell E510?

I wouldn't go for it just because you can't do anything if something goes wrong.

Other than that, yeah it would work as long it is the same type.

Most of the memory you buy here are foreign RAM.

take your pick
That's what I could find that works in your Dell E510.
I've never heard of those brands before though.
