So On wednesday last week, when i went to pick up my MGS3 Extravagance LE set... I lucked out and found a copy of Beyond Good and Evil for the gamecube. It was only $12 -10%discount card. I had never played the game before and had passed by the PS2 and XB versions many times, cos I wanted the GC version. This weekend I was planning to play my MGS3 LE. But with the game selling for $150+ on Ebay, Im scared to open it! lol So I decided to play BGaE instead.
What a great game! I finished it up on Sunday evening, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. A bit short, but a good weekend play. I liked it much better than a Ratchet and Clank game, those have too much emphasis on the shooting for a 3rd person platformer type game imo. I had soo much fun I plan on playing thru again and going for every single pearl and animal picture.
Quick question, whats with the star constellations? Am I suppossed to do anything like take pictures of them or something???

Great game that's why we all are hoping for a sequel.
I have never beaten it, but still love it. :)

You probably don't want to. I thought the game was brilliant . . . until the final boss. It was ridiculously hard, and it gave you no indication as to when it would end. It sort of took away from the experience.

the last boss wasn't really that bad. it was just a pain in the ass with the reversed controls
though even that might have been because I played on a PC (sans gamepad) when I beat it.

I beat that boss on my third try. It wasnt hard, it just took me a while to realize that only the last hit in the attack sequence actually damages him and moves you on to the next part of the fight. I would hit him 4-5 times, and then miss the last hit opportunity, and that just starts the sequence over. I was fighting him for like 20 minutes and was thinking wtf???

I just got mine for GC because I didn't have an XBOX at the time. But hey, if the GC version is the best one then I guess that worked out pretty good.

I have BG&E for the PS2 and it's an awesome game, was under the radar when it first came out.

For me it was personal preference. Im sure the Xbox and GC versions are both better than the PS2 version, but I just like the GCN controller better, and I wanted to give my cube some love. Plus its the rarest version of the game, I know, I know, Im a dork.... lol

I wanted to get the Cube version also, but I found it new for the PC for $7. I hate the PC controls though, it makes you play with a keyboard and mouse instead of a gamepad. I've tried looking at the options and there is no way to change the controls of the game. FRUSTRATING!
the problem with Gamcube version is that it is missing some buttons, so you cant center the camera like the PS2 and Xbox version. (you click in the right stick, something you cant do in the cube version)
