The SRP is only $29.99, so $19.XX (or less) should be the B&M price the week it comes out.

Full (i.e. same as seasons 1 & 2) price for a 13-ep season? Ouch.

Seasons 1 and 2 both had a $39.99 SRP, while season 3 has a $29.99 SRP.

Yep. The episode order for season 3 was 22 episodes, but they cut 9 of them.
Luckily they gave the crew enough of a warning that they did a good job of wrapping up the series with the last few episodes (while leaving enough loose ends that they could continue the series if it gets picked up by Showtime).

I doubt it'll happen though. Showtime is where it's going to be if there's to be a fourth season.

if they cut 9 episodes, will it be on dvd? they might call it Season 3 Vol 2?

No, they were never made. Fox reduced/cut their order.

Typical Fux I mean Fox. I know what you AD fans are going through as I've been down this beaten path far too often. Lemme see...

- Space: Above And Beyond (went from being preempted far too often to it changing timeslots every week)

- Millennium (completely different direction every season, the third season was the final nail in the coffin)

- Brimstone & Lone Gunmen (both only half a season and both starting to show promise when they got axed)

- Harsh Realm (sucks to be cancelled after THREE episodes)

- Ryan Calfield (sucks even more to be cancelled after TWO episodes)

- Sliders (and no to me it ended on Fox... that "continuation" on Sci-Fi was god aweful)

- Family Guy (but now its back and stronger than ever)

I agree, it would fail faster on ABC then on Fox.

And Fox hasn't really screwed anyone. The show was never a hit. They gave it the best timeslot they had, well second best, after the Simpson and the show still failed. They gave it like 50 episodes for a show that ratings wise should have never seen a second season.

I have stopped watching Family Guy because it has gotten so dreadfully bad.

They need to learn when to end a fucking joke.

Futurama is coming back for 4 - 90 minute DVD movies. if they sell well it is likely that 26 new episodes will be greenlite.

Thank god for TiVo.
I don't understand why Fox is doing this. They obviously want to rid themselves of this show. So, just release the DVD's and be done with it.

COME ON !

The problem with Fox was that they didn't have a good show for AD to run with. There wasn't a huge overlap of audience that would watch the Simpsons and then Arrested Development. I think it would have done a lot better if it had a show like Friends to pair it up with.

Also, was this story never circulated at CAG: http://www.nypost.com/gossip/pagesix/60385.htm

February 28, 2006 -- We hear that fans of "Arrested Development" can relax. Word is Showtime not only picked up the canceled Fox show but also ordered 26 more episodes

Or was that shown later to be bogus and I never found out? :(

There was a topic about that article, but note that the article is in the gossip page.
If Showtime picks up AD they likely can't do it until Fox officailly cancels it (which will likely happen in May).
