I have that one and its not that bad for that price, there is also a 10% off coupon for the Philips Outlet also right now. I had some trouble with a discoloration in the one corner but they took it to a repair shop for a little over a week and now its fine, and the picture is great on HD, DVD, and my 360. Remember the picture will look like crap for regular cable signals, but you get use to it after awhile. I would buy it and once you get at home really take a good long look at the picture and if there are any problems there is a 90 warranty on it.

The 8402 is the model a lot of people on the various forums have had trouble with. The consensus seems to be that the 850 is much better.
